Most scenarios are: Open the door while still in the vehicle and still chatting, saying your farewells. NG being physically limited may need assistance getting out of the vehicle and to the door.

I would also expect MY HUSBAND to walk my mother all the way into the house. Help her get lights on, etc. Not just dump her off at the door to her own devices.

That is assuming that she was dropped off right at the garage door but pictures from Nancy's garage show that there is definitely space for another car in Nancy's garage to pull in and park beside hers.

A possible scenario; The garage door opens, TC rolls in, Nancy exits, TC backs out, garage door closes.

Was it ever reported that the SIL dropped her off at the garage door? Perhaps he drove into the garage, shortening the distance to the door even further.

We’re missing key pattern of life info about typical door opening intervals and whether it’s typical for family to enter the home to get Nancy settled.

If it’s typical for Nancy to be escorted to the door and left to her own devices, I wouldn’t see the 2-minute interval as anomalous.

If it’s typical for family to go inside and ensure Nancy is settled or whatever, then it would be anomalous. But we’d also have to know the pattern for the SIL specifically, if it’s not something Nancy asks for directly.

I have checked the history on my own garage door app. My husband and I both park in our garage. Our average time to open the door, drive out, close the door. OR, Open the door, drive in and close the door is 3 minutes. We both use the app or the remote to shut the door from our vehicles, rather than walking to the mounted door closer just inside the house.

My history doesn’t take into consideration another person exiting the vehicle and walking into the house.

This 2 minutes is an extremely TIGHT timeline IMO.

I think they need to go back to day 1, reprocess her house again thoroughly, things do get missed, and IMO that scene was processed and released too quickly, search minutely on hands and knees in a proper LE managed way her whole garden, every inch of it, do the same all around the perimeter of her home,

do a media request for everybody within a certain distance to check all there camera footage, starting from NG home go door to door with all the officers they have and actually speak to the neighbors, every one of them, how many times have we learned that someone had some vital evidence but they thought LE must already know that so I don't need to send in a tip,

and do a daily press briefing with one person as the point of contact, and clear up rumors, reiterate what you are asking from the public and show the image of the masked intruder, going days without updating is ridiculous,

I think they are looking for at least one type of vehicle that is a silver SUV/Crossover type with dark rims. I believe they are also looking for at least a man and a woman (or mother and son) that live together, a family.

I would not be surprised by this if true. It’s possible the show puts pressure on these top hosts like SG to be more relatable to the viewer by featuring family every now and then. There are SO MANY undesirable and dangerous people out there. I can imagine there has to be network talks about protecting their employees and safeguarding their families identities more. We don’t know if it’s related to her mom being abducted but I imagine SG life landscape will look much different as she considers her next professional move at some point. I feel horrible for the whole family of course, but her specifically just because I have watched her off and on for years. IMO

I think this CSI Sheryl should be leading the investigation! Her remarks at 10:53 makes me think Nancy may have been walking or carried out of the front door having been struck in head, nose, or the arm that we've seen a lot of pics of bruised and bandaged.

The CSI mentioned 3 distinct kinds of blood splatter patterns she noticed in the photos from the front porch and walkway. 1) Spray, 2) Drops and 3) Transfer.

Just my thoughts - not her words - Spray from the initial wound, Drops being deposited as she bleeds while moving, Transfer of a partial print (2 fingers and part of her palm) as she tried to steady herself as she fell or was trying to grab at something.

Oh how sad it is to even think of this. Nancy really has become everyone's Grandma. Unimaginable, and I can't begin to think of how the Guthrie family is dealing with this. Wishing them peace and comfort during this time, but more than that...ANSWERS.

To me, the worse quote was "Maybe it's an hour from now," he said. "Maybe it’s weeks or months or years from now. But we won’t quit. We’re going to find Nancy. We’re going to find this guy."

That may very well be true, but that's pretty defeating to say when the family is listening and not the kind of thing a top official should say in public. It's still only three weeks in. At least act determined to find Nancy - NOW. Time is of the essence. The family needs any semblance of peace. Openly saying it could take years at this point of the investigation is not helpful imo and doesn't inspire confidence. I would be so upset if I was a family member, no matter what I believed deep down. You want to have confidence in LE. I think he should have kept that to himself and stuck to, "we have the top experts, we're chasing down every lead, someone out there knows something and we're going to find it," etc. etc.

Also, my uncle worked at a car dealership for 30 years. They would let certain car salesman drive "demo" cars which had the generic plates. Also, if they were sending one to the "car sale" or just buying one from a "car sale" they would have those dealer plates. My uncle would routinely go several states away to pick up a car at a large car sale. Car sales or "car shows" can have thousands of thousands of cars and are usually held in large places. Not sure if that helps anything.

I suppose the key point is that for you and your husband, three minutes is typical. We’d need to know what’s typical for Nancy.

But it gets more complicated because you and your husband are doing the driving and parking, whereas Nancy isn’t driving. The timing may vary depending on who is doing the dropping off, and when.

Just guessing, but I’d imagine the SIL would spend less time (i.e., a quick drop-off) vs SG or AG. He might feel less obliged or comfortable entering Nancy’s home.

w/o listening to that video, I think that the Range Rover is a HUGE opportunity and a sign LE has significant reason to think that car was involved in the abduction—-

The forensic investigation in the Culver’s lot at time of detainment COULD HAVE shown blood hits if sprayed with Luminol that would have meant a closer exam was warranted. That might be one reason they held up tarps: to contain the spray and limit outside contamination and shield any hits that light up from onlookers’ cameras since LE knew they were being filmed.

I am not saying they found blood in the car—but that it is easy to check initially just for blood which (if found) can be analyzed more specifically after car is back at the lab.

I don’t know/haven’t seen it discussed if there is anything very unusual about the flora/fauna, dirt/rocks at the Guthrie house that separates it from any houses in the immediate area…so tracking trace evidence of dirt in wheel wells or rocks in tires might be less helpful. But if there was something unusual like desert pollen—that might indicate a trip outside the city. At this time, we have seen nothing that I know of that would shift her abduction out of the immediate area—
The Rio Rico car stop and house search didn’t take the car or man into custody even if they might have taken forensic samples for investigation. So for now the immediate area seems the focus of investigation.

What has happened to this family is horrific. I say this as someone who survived a violent crime that I expect None of her children and family will ever be who they were before this. It changes you. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. I don’t think SG will return to the today show but I can see her possibly turning this traumatic event into a positive. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her with her own show, podcast, or some form of public outreach in the future where she is using her experience of this situation, expertise in journalism and law to help others that have experienced similar event. Similar to Jon Walsh. MOO

Every page I open has this case as the lead story. I understand that is most likely because it's what I click on.

However, I have just realized the Minnesota news has completely vanished from my pages. I pulled a search and stories are still being written, but not with the fury and fervor of before NG vanished.

Not likely a connection, IMO, but when people ask "what are we being distracted from?" my mind goes "hmmmmm".

Another thought I have had is if it is opportunistic maybe the perp had no idea who lived in the house, and had no idea that she was the mother of the famous SG, meaning he went there to either steal, or rape, or murder not knowing who was in the home, and NG being an elderly woman does not make her immune from someone who sets out to commit burglary and the crime turns into something much worse

One commentator suggested revenge. Interesting, but revenge against who? NG? SG? AG?
We can eliminate robbery. We can probably eliminate murder since presumably this would have happened at NG residence. SG said she would pay, yet nothing seems to have worked with that.

Any outside the box theory may as well be explored. Traditional reasons aren't working well.
