IMO and my thoughts, I do not believe this person was thinking with the same hindsight and privilege we have of knowing the consequences of his action and simply acted in a panic to get her from one point to another. IMO this person, based solely on the actions I have observed (Slow moving, using flowers to cover a camera, etc...) was unprepared and of low intelligence and critical thinking.
What if he bound/gagged her and she died? And hes like oh crap, im just a robber, not a murderer, I need to hide her body? Is that possible???

If so, I did not know. I’ve been in the hospital and away from WS for some time. Perhaps the rules changed. I’ll watch for Tricia or another mod to verify. Pls accept my apologies if not approved. Thanks for letting me know.

Hope you're well. You provide links to good media sources and NN is accepted... the person who queried it was mistaken.

So going from your post—
that was likely a camera earlier installed FOR NG—to offer views of her courtyard area in back and used solar power for its operation. A camera NOT BROUGHT by the people who abducted her but long standing in its presence.
If that is true—her camera vs one used to scope out a target—then LE seemed pretty bad at searching a crime scene. As well as not even asking the family for info about cameras that were previously installed…
That lapse in attention/investigation makes LE seem pretty inept IMO.
And it reduces the quality of planning that many of us thought the suspects put into shadowing NG’s house prior to breaking in…

This is all my opinion/analysis — and seeing how that camera was mounted. That was not something set up as a temporary camera to spy on NG—it would take time and effort to install—not just placed on a roof with some tape or mounting putty.
IMO it's a possibility that these outdoor cameras were set up so NG could enjoy the wildlife and enjoy her backyard even if it may have been harder to get outside on the patio.

I'm puzzled, though, as to how the perpetrators missed these cameras, how LE missed these cameras and why LE didn't get input from the adult children about where she had cameras both inside and outside.

Wonder if there were any images on these outdoor cameras.

She may have been" sharp as a tack" but that does not change the reality she had some specific limitations. I know elderly people that have never been on medicine, don't having hearing aides, or cardiac issues. I know people much younger as myself who slow down with age (as I often caution my younger "invulnerable" friends and family).

Bottom line is she was an 84 year old with a pacemaker on "life sustaining" meds (as it's been put), with a cane and hearing aides. That's a reality and limitations. Especially in a high stress situation w/o meds.

But the poster @BrittMontero was replying to said they were getting a picture of NG as someone isolated, lonely, and perhaps feeling like she was an inconvenience to her daughter.

From what we’ve learned about NG, that seemed very far from the reality. She was quite active, and someone friends looked to for her wisdom, guidance and support.

The perps, asking them to let SG know where mom is, alive or deceased. I doubt SG knows who did it, so not a particular person.

Or maybe someone closer.

NewsNation is approved. Sorry you've been in the hospital and hope you're doing better. Even if you've been away from WS for some time, you still have good sleuthing insights and you post helpful, insightful comments.

Just noting that I find it interesting the last couple of videos have been SG alone, when we'd seen the siblings all together for a couple of videos.

They've been SG only after that search at AG's last weekend

Backpacks aside, what we’re seeing in the FBI video may be from the end, not the beginning, of the whole thing.
Right.

The body removal, clean-up, and/ or fixing stage. Did the backpack contain supplies for those tasks?

IMO.

This may seem off topic, but i'm asking for understanding of the theory going around about "burglary gone wrong" Can someone step me through what does a "burglary at 2am with a person at home going right" look like? How does that even work in a burglar's mind? How do you rummage through my jewelry box or open my safe? Do you wake me up, bind me first? Then, dig around my underwear drawer looking for something? I need to understand how a nighttime home invasion works to process how and where it could go wrong.
That's a legitimate question.
What does a burglary NOT gone wrong look like?
The person is not home and you come and go without incident.
The person is home, but never awakens.
The person is home and you tie them up and they can't recognize you.

Right, but the difference in those cases is the kidnappers planned and prepared for the abductions. Brian Mitchell lucked out because searchers actually got within earshot of Elizabeth, but she was too scared to scream. The guy in Cleveland retrofitted his house before taking his first victim.

Also these cases happened over a decade ago and there have been huge advancements in technology and forensics.

Ok, so from those points, I can create opposite scenarios of how it could go wrong. Thank you!!

and you're not lost or alone,
and it is never too late to do the right thing.

We are here and we believe,

and it's never too late."

Explain, please.
This is clearly not a robbery gone wrong. They are in my opinion and this is what I suspect is happening ;
- The Guthrie family are corresponding with the ‘one bitcoin’ ransom note writers.
That guy is passing along information and ‘softening it’.
Authorities are putting out this information as fact to keep him talking.
Without proof,I don’t think j it was either a robbery gone wrong or sadly it is unlikely Nancy is still alive.

NewsMax.

Thank you for clarifying - I wanted to make sure that I wasn't quoting anything I shouldn't be!

Anyone else get the impression the Guthrie family is privately corresponding with one of the kidnapper or ransom note writers?
I think the idea that this could be a delusional fan who kidnapped their mom is not a secret to anyone in LE. If you notice, no one in LE has raised that as a possibility. I pay attention to what I DON'T hear from LE or commentators as scenarios. I have thought that as soon as her disappearance was discovered 2 weeks ago. SG, IMO, looked like she is hoping for just that kind of scenario. Someone who took her mom and is keeping her alive...who would have a lot of hope after 2 weeks? However, if he cherishes SG, he might be kind to her mom. He might even release her and pretend he is a hero. MOO

The first thing I thought of when I read your post was Napoli.
