Welcome back @KivaloNyomozo’ !

I’m still in flux over everything as I vacillate over what I believe has happened to her.

In any event I do believe this was an attempt at profit——not some kind of obsessed SG fan, or a family member going “wilding.”

Whether the intent was initially just an “ordinary” home robbery and something went awry, or if it was always a kidnapping for millions in Bitcoin, I’ve no idea.

I want her to come home alive and in the tender loving care of her family, with the perpetrator(s) locked up.

Yet as time crawls by, even the stress on Nancy could be fatal. She’d likely be so worried for how her children are coping. Already having a pacemaker indicates heart problems and who knows if she’d even have a stroke during this ordeal.

This would presuppose that’s she’s even still alive.

JM speculations, with all wishes for a miracle.
multiple weeks- even if these folks decided to be humane and that NG was valuable to them alive- they feed her? she has a toilet? ...in a dark basement? and she never sees a human face? trouble imagining it. sorry

This does NOT correspond to the timeline posted by the authorities, so I disagree.

From your link:

“2:12 a.m. — The camera’s software detects movement. Investigators initially said that there was no video available since Guthrie didn’t have an active subscription to the company. But digital forensics experts kept working to find images in backend software that might have been lost, corrupted or inaccessible.”

Levin has said in a couple of his videos that he confirmed with LE that the recovered FBI images and video were from 2:12 am. And the pacemaker’s “disconnection” is likely an alert indicating the app’s failure to make its daily connection to the iPhone. (See previous posts, like this one.)

If things started at or around 1:47 am, I don’t see anything in the timeline that doesn’t correspond with “what we’re seeing in the FBI video may be from the end.”

Not a bad theory. So, you're saying he's more likely to cooperate if they soften the tone. It's like you give the guy an "out" Like, I know you didn't mean to murder her, hurt her, etc. you were just there to rob, and the situation snowballed and you panicked.
She's gotten a lot of coaching from experts about how to talk with somebody who may have your mother or know where your mother's body is. The perpetrator may be out-of-their mind with fear and guilt, and NG's approach could possibly be persuasive to the perpetrator. JMO

This is clearly not a robbery gone wrong. They are in my opinion and this is what I suspect is happening ;
- The Guthrie family are corresponding with the ‘one bitcoin’ ransom note writers.
That guy is passing along information and ‘softening it’.
Authorities are putting out this information as fact to keep him talking.
Without proof,I don’t think j it was either a robbery gone wrong or sadly it is unlikely Nancy is still alive.

It sounds like she knows who she is speaking to. It feels so close that she could speak his/her name.

Even if she doesn't know his name, she knows him. That's why she is such a good communicator. It's innate. And blessed. Never could she imagine that she'd need it for this, but no one is more up for the task.

Oh gotcha. I don't follow that same line of thinking, for what it's worth

Me neither. It just caught my eye when you pointed out that only Savannah by herself has done the last two appeals.

I didn't know - I realized that I was confusing NewsNation and NewsMax. My brain needs a tune-up, obviously. :)
This is all moving way too fast for me, too. About once a day or so I have to search for Tricia and Sillybilly's posts on this thread to make sure I haven't missed any and remembered the NewsMax post from a few days ago. I can't keep it all straight otherwise.

Someone else here stated he did eventually use a screw driver to take off the camera, maybe he doesn't think on his feet, and needed a minute to figure out what to do??

My door bell camera sound is unique. So I know right away it is someone at the door. Yes if she is hearing impaired she might not hear it.

But the point is the Latana man did not know any of that. So that is why he grabbed the plant to obscure the camera right away?
Hey I was the one who stated that based on my perception the perp is using a screwdriver (or some similar tool set) based on the tools and motions he uses for loosening both the top and bottom of the camera. According to a guest expert on Megyn Kelly, in addition to a Hex key, the use of a small screwdriver is the most common way to remove a secured Nest camera from its mount.

Sorry I couldn’t grab a picture for when he the second tool on his upper right

MOO but it would make sense that the perp would anticipate having to bring and use these tools and likely did since it did not seem he could just simply pull and remove the camera from its mount

Yes, her heart would need to be beating for her to be bleeding and dripping blood. You are correct.
No. That applies when a deceased body is still. If that body is moving or being carried the blood will flow from an open wound as anything else affected by gravity will flow.

No, IMO. Dead people can still drip blood.
Yes, carried out, but perp did not walk on droplets, droplets were not smeared, perfect circles.
I think carried horizontally.

Why are there so many photos of SG and NG but not NG and AG?

And does she even know the world is looking for her?

This is just my opinion, just a question and it is not based on fact; it is only conjecture. If someone has NG and she is alive, how could they return her to family without being caught? Is there any means of returning a victim who was taken on impulse and now is a big time liability?
As a thought, if she were being held in a abandoned house, guest house, cabin, old shack, the kidnappers just leave and send the location. Or she is moved to an abandoned house, guest house, cabin shack, or random location and the location sent to the family or LE.

Today" show host Savannah Guthrie shared a video on social media on Sunday, as the search continues for her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who was taken from her Arizona home two weeks ago on Feb. 1.

Speaking directly to "whoever has her or knows where she is," Savannah Guthrie said, "It's never too late, and you're not lost or alone, and it is never too late to do the right thing, and we are here."

"We still have hope, and we still believe," Savannah Guthrie said. "We believe in the essential goodness of every human being, and it's never too late."

Incorrect IMO. I've unfortunately seen dead people bleed and also drip blood shortly after death. Perhaps this is best described as leakage since blood won't spurt out once the heart stops.

In the NG timeline, there is probably no way to tell if she was dead or alive when she bled on her porch. But we know it was from her.

Very true. Those are some great examples I must admit that I had forgotten about.

I could wrap my head around it more if it were planned. It just threw me off when they made it seem like it was a burglary gone wrong. If it was planned - I get it. They at least figured some stuff out beforehand. Although deciding to take this elderly lady on the fly - is.... complicated although obviously not impossible.
With the way the world is today I am really not shocked by much.

Jmo.

It could be something the perp did to cause her death that he didn’t anticipate. Then panicked and hid her body. I imagine that could be why they searched tanks, etc.

  • #31,198
What if he bound/gagged her and she died? And hes like oh crap, im just a robber, not a murderer, I need to hide her body? Is that possible???
Or, if she was unconscious - concerned she might die and thinking she might wake up if he took her.

over the shoulder and she was bleeding from her head or mouth behind him as he walked.

she is not that light though it would be challenging maybe to carry her out that way,,

This may seem off topic, but i'm asking for understanding of the theory going around about "burglary gone wrong" Can someone step me through what does a "burglary at 2am with a person at home going right" look like? How does that even work in a burglar's mind? How do you rummage through my jewelry box or open my safe? Do you wake me up, bind me first? Then, dig around my underwear drawer looking for something? I need to understand how a nighttime home invasion works to process how and where it could go wrong.
I read somewhere that "If burglars come by day, they want your stuff. If they come at night, they want you."
