Of course we don’t know everything LE has, so my opinion may be way off base. It does feel like there’s been a significant shift since last Friday’s SWAT raid. I am so hopeful someone is in their scope and they’re just waiting for the final puzzle piece. I am worried they don’t have much and are putting a lot of eggs in one basket to avoid egg on their face (at least publicly) after the CP SWAT raid.

It was 34 degrees that night, I believe. It get warm during the day and she might have had a window open during the day, but would likely have closed it at night. JMO

I don’t know if this is accurate, but it looks like the low was 52° the night of Jan 31. Would she crack a window for some cool night air, or is that too cold, I wonder. Some people sleep better with the windows open, I have read.

In my opinion the lantana man's eyes do not look drooping (which is medically called ptosis). His lids are fairly symmetric and both sit appropriately at the top of his iris. I agree that him blinking is not shown in the video, but he also looks like he is concentrating on covering the camera without being directly seen.

So his ransom note is all over the TV / World, and not for the first time. In it he talks about what he saw ‘5 days ago’, and what was said to him etc etc. across the border.

He’s scared about being fingered for his 10 year old burglary rap, but seems his not scared about the fate he might suffer at hands of NG’s kidnappers for ratting on them !!

This can’t be genuine, imo.

Conversations about DNA, gloves and other potentially extraneous evidence are all well and good, but this woman has been gone for over 16 days. If she is still alive, finding her should take precedence over everything.

She is surely not in good health at this point. Once found, there is plenty of time to focus on DNA, it isn't going anywhere. I have to believe the police realize this and are working behind the scenes to locate her.

To be totally truthful, I honestly don't think that NG left her house alive.

And if she did, she certainly (and sadly) isn't alive after 16 days, with no signs of proof of life from the alleged kidnappers.

I am flabbergasted to wake up this morning to headlines that the whole family was cleared days ago. Then why has Nanos spent days declining every opportunity to clearly say the SIL was not a suspect? This makes no sense.

I'm sorry, this is not just an inexperienced Sheriff being blinded by the glare of trying to solve a large, heavily covered case. You don't keep going back to AG and TC's house, impound their car and ask the neighbors about them if they were cleared in the first few days. This man is incompetent. If the truth and NG are found it will be despite Nanos, not because of him. MOOoooo

Yes. The excellent CeCe Moore, speaking to Brian Entin yesterday (here), was positive about the prospect of IGG, given a DNA sample. She was also positive about the quality of the lab used by the sheriff, which she has used herself.

Many people are likely to have visited NG’s house. They may not have identified everyone and taken samples for elimination. Can we assume that the way the sheriff spoke of that unknown male DNA makes him reasonably confident about it?

Love Love Love CeCe Moore! She is the goat! She also visits here at WS and actively works cases that are featured here. I can't recall now which case it was but she was here commenting on the case. I have confidence she is following the case here at WS, although I cannot provide any solid proof unless she comments here.

Yup!! Moo, Sheriff wants control over the FBI. He loves the camera and interviews.

I believe the family was cleared very early and he refused to state, wanted to keep the gossip and interviews going. Moo.. he’s changed his tune and a complete turn on his messaging about the family, after the sister and SIL have been dragged through the press. Might he have been contacted by legal representation from the family?

He knows the FBI has greater resources and capabilities. Is he trying to delay finding NG, for his vanity? He clearly has a vendetta against the FBI. Moo

My opinion is that Nanos made that statement not because anything really changed vis a vis the family but was pressured to do so by legal department to avoid any potential legal actions by the family. Not criticizing him just maybe why at this time the statement was made.
