MOO too - there’s been a lot of negativity in media and here about him releasing info from the note but I always thought he was being very careful and that he’d discussed with FBI about what he could say. I’m not typically a fan of TMZ or HL but do think he’s getting more flack about this than he deserves. It’s possible that he said it later after someone else disclosed it and i just haven’t seen it but I think he’s getting more flack about this than he deserves.

I threw together a quick and dirty YT short on a possible shoe match: Ecco Golf LT1.

I'm very aware that IR light can mess with colors (e.g., the shoe could be all black), but this particular model seems to align in more ways that one.

Could be interesting if the guy was wearing golf shoes. Obvously, I'm not a golfer (obligatory Lebowski), so I have no idea of why one would wear a spikeless golf shoe while not golfing. Do you think this could be the shoe?

I think the perps just carried on with their lives as usual after the crime, family, work, so they would not attract attention.
They may flee if they think that LE is on to them.

Valid points! The toe cap is one thing that doesn't quite seem to match, but it's just so hard to tell, especially with the IR lighting. And the price definitely doesn't jive with the other gear.

I've seen one or two very cheap options suggested that are good matches too, if in fact the IR light is distorting the colors. Either way, it's hard to believe that LE/FBI hasn't pinned the model down yet.

A video was posted here regarding a theft at the gem show going on when NG went missing showing the perps. I noticed the one individual had a white cap on his shoes. Did anyone else notice that?

No pressers or any updates for the public outside of sheriff doing media rounds and often changing the info given. I think the media tents will be packing up this weekend and heading out. All that is left now is speculation with the same stories swirling around. NG neighbors buying\ extra security cameras and getting frustrated with media blocking their road. If there are any significant events media will return. At this time we don't even know if there was a forced entry!!

I read something about the flashlight used. It had something to do with the fact that the amount of lumens was too bright to prevent his face from being clearly seen, but not so bright that it wouldn't whitewash IR cameras. The article pointed to this as another sign of the amateurish nature of the suspect... (i'll look for that article and edit to provide a link as soon as i can find it in my search history )

Are we sure it’s a “bite light”? When I first saw it I thought it could be one of the many mini/smaller flashlights I have in my house. I figured he just turned it on and kept it in his mouth.

I believe there are a couple times while walking it goes off and on, with no hand touches, so imho it’s a bite light.

I thought the destroyed thing they referred to was believed to be the set of lights on the rear of the house that were smashed?

I expect by Monday the only people left on scene will be you tubers. I think in a way that won’t be a bad thing since the sheriff won’t have anyone to talk to. I’d rather wait for a statement by the FBI.

I've tried. The issue is I only have the shoe images available online, so I can't match up the angles perfectly. All I can really say is that it kind of looks similar, not having tested the actual shoes with IR light.

If what we see in the image is representative of the actual shoes, it would be interesting because there aren't many shoes that have the dark/white/gray combo like that. It's kind of a weird shoe. Or maybe it's not and just looks that way.

The only reason I found this shoe is that I searched for golfing footware. For some reason, this guy always gave me golfing vibes, like he's bending over to pick up a ball or tee when he grabs the lantana. Vibes mean nothing, but it's just kind of interesting that this shoe happened to pop up.

There's a country club/golf course about 2 miles away from Nancy's house. Definitely a wild stab in the dark, but that's where we're at anyway. lol

I think one or more of the ransom notes referred to a specific accessory being in an unusual place and a specific item that was smashed. I believe we later heard that the accessory that was in an unusual place was her apple watch, charging at the foot of her bed. The item that was smashed was the outdoor floodlights -- I think they were around the side or in the back of the house.

The idea was that only the kidnapper/assailant would know about those things, but I think some here speculated that there could've been a leak from the investigation or the family about both items.

I remember that I wondered whether people who worked in the house might know where NG habitually charged her watch and whether the floodlights might have been damaged before the night of the kidnapping.

It is weird. When you look at the video of him first walking up, he turns the flashlight on. What is weird is it appears that he is doing something with his right hand to do it. I don't think he is putting it in his mouth but it looks like his right hand does something that is in sync with it turning on. Maybe it is just a coincidence.
