It’s been alledged since the beginning that she took an Uber to her daughter’s house.

That has been confirmed by the Sheriff and they have talked with the Uber driver.

this case seems have gone cold, i wonder how long the media will be camped out there

It’s been alledged since the beginning that she took an Uber to her daughter’s house so she would have been seen by the driver if that information is true.
Ok. Last contact with someone who knew her other than an Uber driver.

Could have been someone needing a quick drug fix and knew she was alone I suppose, preying on the elderly. Preying on anyone for that matter. This world.......
The drug angle is one I have thought was a real possibility.

Example: A local worker, worked for NG at her home( roof for instance). Unfortunately,
The perp opened his trunk to get a tool, right as NG walked past, she saw drugs( 2 bricks cocaine, he thought he had covered it better!). He kicked himself for not stopping at home before work. His mistake.

He quickly closed the trunk, just as she said, “Hey, is that drugs in your trunk, it sure looks like it!” He laughed it off, “ No, just supplies for another household repair job.” He felt satisfied that she believed him, until later that night.

Later, when the worker went home, he rethought it all and he panicked! His paranoia took over, He thought of his drug boss.
Plus, he had gotten used to the extra cash, he wanted to keep it going.

He thought NG might turn him in, he can’t have that. NG needed to be silenced, gone. He had never thought of this before, and hatched a plan to take out NG very sorry….deposit body in the desert. Just a simple plan, to make sure NG was gone forever, could not bust him. He carried on with his life, as if nothing had happened, problem solved. 😩 ugh.

Something “simple” like this example, close to home, motive is simply that NG needed to be gone, to avoid talking, exposing the perp’s secret( local drug). Ramped up as he was paranoid from cocaine use. Just another idea.

This case should have been taken away from “Desert Law” weeks ago.

Hypothetically, let’s assume there was no dinner at AG’s that night. Who was the last non family person to see NG alive? Let’s set the timeline from there.
Female Uber driver who took her to AG's. I believe she was interviewed. If NG had not gone there, I'm sure that we would know that, by now. jmo

I'm continuing to go back and look at very early news coverage. This is from the Daily Mail (via MSN as an aggregator) so big grain of salt, etc. Also, JMO/MOO when combing through this older info.

Anyway, some of this might speak to why so many of us have, at the risk of using an unusual term, "false" memories about this abduction. IOW, we were going by what was reported very early and might be very hard to find as time goes by doing just a regular Google search.

Brian Entin has said he's not planning on going anywhere anytime soon. He said it at the end of his video from tonight.

Was it common public knowledge Before NG’s disappearance that she had a Pacemaker or ICD ( or some sort of heart care device ) ?
I can’t imagine it would be, which would make interfering with the pacemaker by using a magnet to be unlikely. Or, at least, it’s have to fit a very specific scenario.

We don't know where the "multiple cameras" she had were originally located. If family pulled in to her place from the right side of the wrap around drive way and went straight to the garage to drop her off, then went back that way when they left, they may not have been captured on any cameras. You wouldn't have been able to see their vehicle from the doorbell camera
NG didn’t pay for a Nest subscription, so video was overwritten after a few hours.

The only reason we have doorbell camera footage is that the doorbell camera was disconnected shortly after recording what we’ve seen – the video wasn’t overwritten with newer footage because there was no newer footage after the camera was taken away from NG’s wi-fi.

It’s much harder to try to recover overwritten data. The other cameras weren’t disconnected so footage from 31st January has been overwritten. Even footage from the doorbell camera from the previous day was overwritten. That’s what we’re told, and it makes sense technically. I hope we’ll see earlier, recovered footage, but it’s unlikely.

There are questions about whether the cameras were set to only record when they detected motion, and whether microphones were enabled. I don’t think we know the answer to either.

Or even a video of Nancy returning from her family's dinner party that night?!
We discussed this several hours ago. Nancy’s Nest cameras overwrote the previous data every three hours, which precluded events from her earlier departure or return being stored. It was actually the removal of the camera around 2 a.m. that kept the video LE DID get in the backend of the system, because the overwriting stopped once the camera stopped functioning.

Not satisfied by the Sheriff’s explanation of the elder abuse business card. I think that’s a clear investigative angle. Nancy appears to be alone and unprotected in that secluded home. I don’t buy it.

Sorry to say it, but there may never be a proper ending. This may be it, for ever and ever. 😥

Agreed.

I very much fear NG has passed.

Praying she is found.

February 2, 2026 - more JMO/MOO stuff that's public record from a Google search for isolated dates (2/1/26 - 2/2/26):

“I think she was abducted,” Nanos told NBC News. “When you’re taken from your bed and you don’t want to go somewhere, that’s an abduction.”

Nanos said officials believe Guthrie was harmed when she was taken, but they did not provide other details.

Same article:

“We know she was harmed at the home, but we don’t know to what extent,” he said.

I haven't met a Sheriff that isn't controversial or that had'nt had a faction against him.

It's political, imo. It's more overt when it used to be covert. Even in the middle of a active investigation they can't accept its his job and he is working it as elected.
The problem,as I see it, is he is doing a sloppy job bordering on incompetence.

I am not looking at it politically---I have no idea what his politics are. I'm looking solely at his actions.

I liked him at first for giving lots of pressers with lots of info. But we soon learned that much of the timeline he was detailing was just off the cuff, not accurate at all...and later when people began asking about it, he was complaining that people were 'hanging on his every word' and holding him accountable for those details. It annoyed him apparently.

Then he released the crime scene to the family unusually fast. It surprised people. But it wasn't that surprising when the yellow tape went up a couple of more times for retesting and further investigation. Problem is, any further evidence from tests done at that time would likely be rejected by the court because the scene was not secured. Sloppy decision making, imo
Further It's condemning the deputies and the whole team working hard at their jobs when they need support the most. They have lives that need attention too as this draws on.
I haven't seen any criticism of the hard working officers or deputies. Maybe I've missed it?

The public criticism seems to be focused upon the inconsistencies in Sheriff Nano's statements---i.e.-- 'no one has been cleared'---'the family has been cooperative and been now been cleared'--- to 'the family was cleared within the first days of the investigation...'

He trips over his own conflicting statements and it is frustrating ....imo

Even sort of conceding the SO succeeds in some way sounds so reluctant!

Imo
I haven't seen a lot of successes so far.

Just now he is saying that he and only he is making any decisions at all in this investigation. He is not that experienced with these kinds of high profile cases. I would think he would be happy to have help from other agencies.

So there was no Guthrie case related landfill search?
Apparently common for landfills. Unrelated to case. One source on it:
