Does this case feel slow because we're following it in real time? I usually follow cases long after the fact, when they're cold or the investigation is public information.
This seems to confirm that K-9 units were used initially. Perhaps the handlers didn’t get a hit so the running assumption is that she was taken from the property in a vehicle. LE has focused on cars/suvs and less so on large volunteer searches near the property.Sounds more like it was an oops by the US Border Patrol K9 to have left it there, jmo.
They used it as a scent article. A scent article for this use, from what I’ve read, is best when it’s recently worn.
I wonder if NG wore this blue shirt to her daughter’s house on Jan 31? Answering myself, that at this point, we don’t know, since it has not been disclosed. But, just wondering.
My opinion from the beginning has been if there was forced entry it makes more sense it was at the back of the house. I don't think I've seen pics of the back door but my logic is the front door not only has that metal screen door but it's more likely that someone would see you breaking in. I know it was pitch black dark and the neighbors cameras couldn't see that far but if I were a perp I'd feel more exposed breaking in there.
With that said, I don't know why the perp brought her out the front door which I'm assuming based on the blood.
We just don't have enough evidence to do more than theorize.
All of the above is MOO of course!
The point is, he knew he would take her through the front door before it actually happened. She was either deceased, unconscious inside or someone was watching her, keeping her form making any undesirable moves. My opinion from the beginning has been if there was forced entry it makes more sense it was at the back of the house. I’m not. He’s probably decided she’s dead. This is a general question for the group. Would you have suspicions if you noted a reporter who had referred to Nancy in the past tense (i.e. she "was" vs. "is) - more than once - during an interview that took place on February 2nd?
Wondering if I stand alone in thinking that's kind of bizarre, especially so early on?
Me too. I've thought about revengeful people get a thrill from making certain their target knows or suspects they are the architect. But, a certain type would know that something like this is the worst punishment. If it was a case of pure revenge, I'm afraid this might be the case. I've thought about it more than once.
JMO/MOO
Why?I don’t think this will be solved, period.
I think it feels slow because there's an urgency to find NG because of her age and need for meds. In reality, it's been three weeks. I've followed quite a few cases here on WS and very few of them have been solved in three weeks. What I'm seeing here is an expectation that she (and the perp(s)) should have been found days ago. It took nine months for Elizabeth Smart to be found. But we don't know if NG can live nine months without her meds. MOODoes this case feel slow because we're following it in real time? It's not just you. If someone is at my door in the dead of night, there's no way I'm opening it.It's probably just me, but I would not even hear my door bell or door knocking at that time of night.
The BLM land we live near is not really supposed to be traversed. There are old fences/gates, but TBH, it doesn't keep people from going back in there and hiking. I can think of one spot in particular where it would be easy for someone to pull into and drag a body back into the brush and even into the mountains. I see cars parked there quite a bit, but there are no cameras that would reach that spot from any of the surrounding houses. Not to nitpick, but not all BLM land is accessible to the public. There is BLM land which has oil fields, grazing rights, other mineral rights granted by the US govt to leasees. While technically public, access can be denied. An interesting fact: there is BLM land and NM state lands (public) in the middle of the Epstein ranch and they were once leased by Epstein. These are technically public lands, but you can google stories of people who tried to visit, hike, or explore these public lands and were challenged by Epstein employees with guns.
That's not her shirt - it was left by a person who was/is investigating.I don't know why, but it makes me incredibly sad to know that her shirt was left on the rocks like that (jmo/moo). I think I found the shirt. Perhaps it's one she wore around the house or even wore to bed (jmo/moo).
She reminds me of my MIL in that she lived in that house for many, many years. My MIL lived in her house for 60 years and she was so comfortable there, even climbing up into the attic in her 80s. My in-laws did have one break-in years before (a neighbor) and my MIL wore hearing aids and she often wore just one (another thing about this that I can't stop thinking about but don't want to keep dwelling on it). If someone had banged on my MIL's door I don't think she would have heard it.
Editing to add: there had been so many years of "safety" at their house (following they break-in) that I don't think she was all that scared to live there, even after her husband passed. They did create a board that was put in place at night that jammed the door to the cellar, along with a lock. I think the longer we live without incident, it's easy to think everything will be okay. I know I'm that way.
All my observations/opinions/speculations.

I assumed it was, based on the wording of the post:That's not her shirt - it was left by a person who was/is investigating.
That is my hope right now. That someone - or a few people - are being watched and who may know where NG is. If she is alive, she has to be kept alive until she can be saved. I believe she is a strong person. Yes, there are medical issues, but strength and faith can be incredible life savers and can prevail. As I said before, the hope dies last!Question for all WSers...
Which do you think is more likely - finding NG will lead to finding the perp(s) or finding the perp(s) will lead to finding NG?
I’ve been all over the place on this case. My thoughts so far…..when you look at motive a big inheritance from NG has to have family looked at very closely. Obviously SG and husband do not need the money, Camron in another state and you are left with Annie and husband.

I read that too but don't have a source. I read that one of the trackers called inquiring about his shirt he forgot. That's not her shirt - it was left by a person who was/is investigating.
If he turned out to being an avid Walmart customer, I would indeed have my suspicions..;—)This is a general question for the group. I think so too. There has to be more video than we've been made privy to. At least, I really hope that's the case. That’s how i would react also. I would have called my daughter also. But Nancy had lived there for fifty years. Probably felt very safe. If someone had actually banged on her door, she may have thought they were really in need of help. I feel like LE are holding back crucial video or evidence for some good reason.
I hope she is found, but I agree…this makes no sense at all. IMOI feel it’s more likely NG will not be found, nor will her abductors.
This case makes no sense at all.
