That occurs here to this day. Men grouped together at the corner gas station looking for day work. They’re paid as day laborers usually in cash.

And @Moonchime post, as well.

Same here in NYC.

I don’t think the men here are homeless, just likely undocumented. You can see about a dozen men every day outside stores like a Home Depot, and there’s some kind of contractor who hires them for jobs.

I have no idea if the contractors know the names, addresses or phone numbers of these workers. I don’t know if they therefore can be contacted if they needed to be questioned, or if it’s just known in their community, by word-of-mouth, where they should congregate to be hired as a day laborer.

Majority are Mexican but not exclusively, lest I sound discriminatory, but that is what I see.

JMO and experience.

This is an Arizona case. If it goes to trial, it will be the jurors of Arizona who convict or not, and the penalty will be decided by Arizona Law. jmo
President Trump spoke very early after NG was taken. He was threatening the death penalty to discourage the kidnapper from murdering NG.

I agree with your hypothetical scenarios! 👍
Here’s a nice scenario: it’s a psycho who kidnapped her because he wants her as his mother since he saw her on tv and thought she was a good mom. So he’s taking very good care of her as his mother while she devises a way to get him comfortable so she can escape. The “ransom” notes are just a-holes trying to make easy money.

I was just watching ABC Nightly News and they said the FBI confirmed that one of the pictures of the suspect-- the one where he isn't wearing the backpack-- was from a different night than the one where she was abducted. Wow. To me, this speaks to a targeted and planned abduction-- not wrong house or burglary gone wrong.

Wow, thank you for sharing!! That is some crazy new information.

And it does make it even more vexing that he still hasn't been caught. Who was this predator making his way to and lurking outside of her house two days in a row?! How devastating that NG likely didn't notice him lurking the night before, or I'm sure she would've told someone and contacted LE. 😭

If that’s true, it’s contrary to Kash Patel’s assertion in his X post, which says “Additional recovered images from the same camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance, including two videos of the individual.”

That’s the post containing the picture without the backpack. And if it was captured on a previous day, wouldn’t it have been overwritten? We’d been told that the removal of the camera had allowed these images to be recovered, because there was no new footage overwriting those few minutes.

What a mess.
This would explain why the perp looks like he's wearing two different jackets in the videos. At least it appears that way to me. The video without the backpack looks like he's wearing a jacket with some sort of pattern, or that may just be pixels from the low resolution Nest camera. MOO.

I had THOUGHT that was a different fleece!

Let's not forget that a couple days ago, poster @OldJim said something similar about the perp showing up earlier and was unknowingly (to him) detected by the Nest camera.

I think it's the same fleece but the IR isn't as strong for whatever reason so the line across the chest isn't as visible but it is there if you look close enough

Ah thank you for this. I missed that, and like you, I do feel it would have been more beneficial than not to have a wider search area away from the immediate vicinity of house. I have to keep reminding myself that we don't know everything that LE do know right now.
Has there been any viewings of the Sheriff's department organizing search teams? I haven't heard anything. Looks like searches would have been conducted from the beginning. Don't understand "why not".

I don't have security cameras. Will someone explain how the intruder could have been caught by the doorbell cam earlier and NG not know it? Thank you!

Agreed! Noisier (and heavily cropped) image.

It's shocking that he showed up at her house on at least two separate occasions without LE being easily able to trace his path. Who was this creep? How did he have so much confidence in his ability to show up and kidnap her undetected? Mind-boggling.

Does make more sense why they're pretty sure he's from Tucson.

This new info makes me wonder more about LD, since he lives in such close proximity to her and it wouldn't be hard for him to discreetly make that journey twice.

I have Ring instead of Nest and it picks up a dog on the sidewalk, a car, etc. so unless I wake up and something is amiss or a neighbor is reporting something I don't look at what happened overnight. I guess I should start doing that.

NG didn't have the subscription to her Nest doorbell cam, without it the video footage isn't saved and you can only view it live.

Good to know, too bad criminals don’t care about threats from anyone, even the President.

It also explains why there is such a lack of light in that picture compared to the night of, when the moon was almost full. On Jan 11th 2026 the moon was "waning crescent" and a quick Google search shows it would have been 38% illumination, though we don't know about cloud cover in Tucson on that evening (I'm sure someone can sleuth that).

It's been said Nancy didn't have a current, active subscription for her doorbell cam. Meaning footage would be quickly erased, and perhaps not actively notify you of movement. That's why it was so hard for them to recover the footage in the first place. 😞

This could have happened for any number of reasons in my opinion. Sometimes I turn our notifications off because we have a flag that's visible in the shot, and when it's really windy the camera sometimes thinks it's a person.

Perhaps she had notifications on, but was busy and didn't look to see what the notification was. It sounds like since she didn't have a subscription, it may have recorded over the activity if a significant amount of time had passed.

MOO.
