So was the earlier image saved somewhere (like on Nancy’s phone) or somewhere in the cloud or a server?NG didn't have the subscription to her Nest doorbell cam, without it the video footage isn't saved and you can only view it live.
That is weird. She should get notifications and review the footageI don't have security cameras. Will someone explain how the intruder could have been caught by the doorbell cam earlier and NG not know it? Thank you!
She had not paid her subscription for cloud service, likely hadn’t looked at camera feed for a while. Video was stored in the Cloud temporarily, FBI was able to revive videos.I don't have security cameras. Will someone explain how the intruder could have been caught by the doorbell cam earlier and NG not know it? Thank you!
In 2025 he's listed as 5'8" and 160 pounds
Do you think that's why they were after the silver Range Rover and CP's car?Wow!! I wonder how much footage they were able to recover from the Nest cam. Maybe they did get a car from this creep on a different night.

She didn't look in the app when she saw the notification the morning after... I have a Nest doorbell camera and one night a few weeks after I had just installed it it said "person seen" at like 3 or 4 in the morning.. my heart started beating so fast so I looked in the Nest app and it was a deer. Half the time it identifies deer as people I think because of their height. Now when I see a person seen notification from 4am I just assume it was a deer... I always look to make sure, though, but I am younger and tech savvy.I don't have security cameras. Will someone explain how the intruder could have been caught by the doorbell cam earlier and NG not know it? Thank you!

Cybersecurity experts explain how surveillance footage of Nancy Guthrie's home was recovered
Many are questioning how Nancy Guthrie's Google Nest surveillance footage was recovered days after officials said it was disconnected with no active subscription to store video.www.cbsnews.com
It's been said Nancy didn't have a current, active subscription for her doorbell cam. Meaning footage would be quickly erased, and perhaps not actively notify you of movement. That's why it was so hard for them to recover the footage in the first place
I agree I think he thought he wasn’t detected.Let's not forget that a couple days ago, poster @OldJim said something similar about the perp showing up earlier and was unknowingly (to him) detected by the Nest camera.
I've not seen confirmation from them yet.so the FBI has confirmed this?
Good to know, too bad criminals don’t care about threats from anyone, even the President.

Because I was just reading ABC7 News report and it said "one theory" ..and no comment from fbi and sheriff ....so would David Muir and big ABC be silly enough to say that stuff? The FBI will now have to comment IMHOI've not seen confirmation from them yet.
And I've been monitoring the NBC News website and they're not reporting it.Because I was just reading ABC7 News report and it said "one theory" ..and no comment from fbi and sheriff ....so would David Muir and big ABC be silly enough to say that stuff? The FBI will now have to comment IMHO
This is interesting since NBC seems to be getting scoops first. And I've been monitoring the NBC News website and they're not reporting it.
Or was casing her house before when there?I was just watching ABC Nightly News and they said the FBI confirmed that one of the pictures of the suspect-- the one where he isn't wearing the backpack-- was from a different night than the one where she was abducted. Wow. To me, this speaks to a targeted and planned abduction-- not wrong house or burglary gone wrong.
