First time we've seen investigators at the front door in awhile, from what I remember.
Yes you're right! Could be that LE has identified the path the suspect took that night prior to abduction and are walking through the "approach"It almost seems like they are doing a full walk through of the scene rather than investigating one particular thing
I've called in tips before and wouldn't hesitate to do it again but It's the "up to one million dollars" that may give pause to one with credible info and wants the reward. JMOIn order to get the money, I would imagine it can't be an anonymous tip. That would stop someone. PLUS, the money is waaayyyy down the line. Apprehension, Arrest, conviction. Not sure money will be the prime motivator. Calling in AND giving the name of the perp anonymously whether there is money involved or not takes courage and the belief that you must do the right thing. Money aka REWARD would not motivate me. I hope others would feel the same way. JMO
NO i DONT. He feel HE KNOWS HER. I picture a marginalized, renaissance man perhaps. Smart, tender, longing from afar, who has fallen in love with her via TV and THINKS he knows her! Every newscast, segment about the Easter Bunny, whatever etc contains hidden words especially meant for him. He is deep into a fantasy and thinks she IS part of his reality. They are in this life together. Taking her mom was a trophy and designed to get her attention especially since she was absent from TV for several weeks due to throat surgery. He became restless and needed the ultimate FIX. JMOI totally understand your thought process here. The one question I have is, do you think the person (or persons?) knew NG or SG? I ask because I feel Iike it could have been someone who had a run-in with either or both, but not by the way of working at/in NG's house. I don't really have anything to back that up. It's just a gut feeling.
I’m not sure what to think anymore. I believe this was preplanned, but not sure of the motive. Besides Nancy being removed from her house, it doesn’t sound like a burglary gone wrong, nothing is missing, that we know about. Whoever is involved, they don’t mind seeing the pain the family is suffering. Someone knows who is responsible and they need to make the call to LE. Maybe the perp is no longer alive, due to their own actions. But then again, I think they’re still alive and love the publicity they’re receiving.
It almost looks like they are pacing out distance/steps. Using phone camera from that corner of the house towards street?
To be fair, there have been cases where a person was deceased inside their home and not found during initial searches. Dennis Day comes to mind, for one example. MOOShe is not in the house. Do you seriously think no one has checked?
With the violence in the world, there is never a good or perfect way to handle things. On one hand, there is a dire need to find an 84 year old who was abducted and then on the other side there is a child who also becomes a victim or at the very least fearful of law enforcement. I wish we were living in a world of kindness and not so divisive.Great read about how online rumors have affected the family of that bandmate.
“A 6-year-old boy in Arizona spent his first night away from his parents this month. Not because he was at a sleepover, or away at a camp. It was because people had descended on his parents’ suburban Tucson street, thinking that his father might be the man who had abducted Nancy Guthrie.
The boy’s father, Dominic Evans, a 48-year-old elementary-school teacher, plays drums in a band with one of Ms. Guthrie’s sons-in-law. For some people, that, coupled with Mr. Evans’s 1999 arrest for drunkenly swiping a calculator and watch while out at a bar, was enough.
He became their prime suspect.”

Online Accusations in Guthrie Abduction Leave One Family ‘Scared Numb’

Banned totally. Many European countries have very stringent privacy laws.Banned totally, or banned in the courts? Mostly not allowed to be used in the US either.
Sure… but it’s been three weeks. It would be unmistakable, at this point, that something was dead in there. To be fair, there have been cases where a person was deceased inside their home and not found during initial searches. Dennis Day comes to mind, for one example. MOO
I wonder if these are prosecutors getting a look at the scene in preparation for charges.what appears to be well-dressed investigators are examining Nancy Guthrie's front walk way. Looking down and standing near the area where blood and masked suspect was

That’s my initial thought as well.I wonder if these are prosecutors getting a look at the scene in preparation for charges.
