Indeed, and we haven't seen the full interview yet either. That was just my initial impression based on the short clip.

JMO.
Full interview was already posted above!

Bringing it here:
FULL INTERVIEW [14 minutes]: Luke Daley opens up after being detained in Nancy Guthrie investigation-Says he is not the abductor and does not know who is involved-Explains what happened the night he was detained with his Range Rover outside Culver’s-addresses rumors about him and his alleged "girlfriend" impacting his life

Interesting that Luke and his mother have been unable to view the search warrant. Hopefully that warrant gets unsealed. Curious what LE had for probable cause. Guessing Luke's phone must have pinged in Nancy's neighborhood around the time she went missing. JMO

What the heck is that near LD's foot in that picture? Is that a mask of a lady or am I seeing things?
Bizarre.

Looks like a bag with Frieda Kahlo on it to me.

I think it looks like a backpack or satchel with the image of Frida Kahlo. JMO.

That dude didn't do this. Doesn't have the confidence.

If the perp(s) are ever finally tracked down and discovered dead, I wouldn't think it's suicide over guilt or fear of discovery. I'd suspect they were finished off that same night as they'd taken NG. I don't think anyone is going to go to the trouble of dumping her in a lake; maybe in Minnesota, but not Arizona. It's too easy to hide a body in a shallow grave in the desert, or even deeper underground like at a construction site or along a pipeline that's being repaired. No body, no evidence, no chance of future confessions. While I would not be surprised if there are more people involved besides porch guy and whoever was in the house, I also don't think some foreign "cartel" is involved. Not over drugs, or her "seeing something" or whatever, but I do realize that close to the border it would be an easy story to sell, and there are people who stand to gain if that does become the narrative.

Much is being made of the "cheap" gear, the low budget almost luchadores style ski mask, that the holster didn't match the gun, and how over the top the porch guy's outfit was. Eh, maybe. When I look at it I don't think "cheap" I think umbiquitious; he's not shopping for exclusive, easily traced bad guy gear at the Super Villian Store. Assuming he's buying his outfit "off the rack" rather than at Goodwill or collected piecemeal at garage sales, Walmart is the largest retailer in the world. It's like hiding in plain sight. LE says "we're looking for this specific backpack" And Walmart kinda hems and haws and says "Um, yeah, we sure do sell a lot of those..." Can they track it? Probably not. Can they even determine if it was bought locally? Again, probably not. This guy went to the trouble of running a dress rehersal to test the camera in advance of committing the crime. I don't think he's a burgular, nor is he an opportunist who heard about some little old lady who pays in cash. *She* was the job. Abducting her while making it clear that she did not just wander off was the point. Leave just enough blood to let people know you're willing to hurt an old woman, but not enough that they think she's already dead, at least not right away. I do not believe that anyone involved in her abduction ever had any intention of collecting a ransom, or of returning her. As they say, MOO.
Great post,
I picked up on the Walmart gear, so many people have it, impossible to track, ( or very hard).
Also, that NG was the job. They wanted her for some reason, maybe to abduct, torture, and kill.
Maybe Ted Bundy type or a BK type of perpetrator.
I believe it was targeted and I don’t believe she was ever going to be returned.
I think we will eventually know what happened, who did it, and why.

I don't love that they haven't been able to see the warrant. Isn't that the point of a warrant? I guess the police have the authority to go in with or without his permission since they have a warrant, but I'm not in the business of just believing LE has the authority they say they have these days. JMO.

Also, several of these raids have resulted in nothing. Does SWAT just kick down your door, detain you for hours for questioning, introduce your name to international media, and then say "oops"?

I know tensions are running high and the true perp will likely be caught in a similar raid/manner. However, at this point we've seen numerous false starts, primarily against gig-working minorities, and it really rubs me the wrong way.

If I could describe this investigation in one word, it would be chaotic. As the weeks drag on and the "move fast and break things" mentality yields nothing, I hope they'll consider a change in approach.

MOO
However, it is very possible if he had seen the warrant, he would be telling the world things that they are looking for right now.

As far as the search dogs, weren't they just mainly trained to go after drugs and random people? I personally think Blood Hounds would've been the best choice. They have been bred for a verrrrry long time, to track people.
Yes, whatever type of dog is best to find NG. Jmo

After watching the interview, I don't know if I see LD in Porch Guy. They do resemble each other, but it's not quite right. If LD was involved, I'd think this was the accomplice rather than LD himself. If he's not involved, some crazy Kohberger type.

Did anyone here think, is she here with us, when he said his mom was following the case? It crossed my mind for a second.
I realize she is following it due to her proximity and high profile news coverage.

I agree, as someone who would also be sweating bullets if I had just been plucked from my range rover and thrown into this circus.

Guess I need to add "or the media" to my "never talk to the police without an attorney" mantra.

Indeed. LD was nervous in an environment where he was supposed to be nervous. Lantana Man was paradoxically calm in an environment that would make others nervous. Hard to fake either.

I can't be the only one who thinks he looks a bit too... chunky to be the perp, right? JMO
That was my first thought. He's too hefy. Add multiple layers on him and he'd be twice the size of PG. I don't think the features match either. The lips are too thin, and I still contend PG looks more Middle Eastern than he does Hispanic or White. MOO.

So do we think he got his cell phone back? I don't think they have returned it yet because he mentioned it when he was talking about picking up the RR.
