I have listened to many podcasts on this case and heard probably over 2 dozen experts weigh in. Ex FBI, LE, etc etc.

The single thing that astounds ALL of them most is LE not taking the doormat away for further testing. Have yet to hear anyone that is not troubled by that.

They came back and took the Nest bracket after the video surfaced.....seems like that would have been the perfect opportunity to take the doormat as well. You would think.
I too do not understand the neglect of the door mat. Sweat, saliva, a stray beard hair (yes they do drop out on occasion)-said this old guy with the white beard) and DNA from his shoes. All seem possible.

But the unfortunate fact is-the crime scene was compromised in the first hours, and again the next day When it was released.

Heck, on that first Sunday they probably had cops, a shift commander and neighbors just trudging and driving all over the driveway. (Anyone remember pizza guy at the door?)

It reminds me of the Jon Benet Ramsey case. That went sideways at the get go.

The LD interview makes no sense. The news about this case is quieting down, everyone is distracted with the war, LE has gone quiet, and the public scrutiny of LD is fading.

IMO, MOO, LD's interview was either really bad advice, or an attempt to get out ahead of things. Why put him back in the spotlight?

I had to rewatch LD’s interview again. He contradicted himself a little in regards to his past. Did anyone else notice that?

The one instance he says over two years and the next one he says 1 1/2 years ago with the alleged gf, the girl he got arrested with a little over a year ago. We can’t mention her here, I believe. He does talk about her though.
Yes he says he has been out of that life for 2 years, but it was literally less than a year ago that he was arrested with KD.

That dude didn't do this. Doesn't have the confidence.

JMO.
Agreed. Also, this crime is vastly different than the crimes he's accustomed to committing.

Could this description include someone who had done work for them?

The person I am thinking of has not done any work for them, that I'm aware of. They do fit the description of the photos that were released, but I think a lot of people do.

MOO.

I keep thinking of the JBR case as well. Some strong similarities.

Maybe to just set the record straight, according to him? He did say he can't go out in public without being hounded by people and media. MOO.

Yes! Thank you. By contradicting himself, he loses credibility.

Don't shoot the messenger but this case is already being referred to as the Nancy Benet Ramsey case on social media.

I'm sure they are just frustrated. But sometimes things go quiet and there is nothing for us to go on because LE is working behind the scenes and we get a big break. Hoping for something like that here.

Somebody who has come up around here?

I was thinking along those lines, too. Or perhaps his mother is behind the interview, mortified and trying to publicly clear her name.

In Websleuths, you mean? I don't think so but I can't be sure with how much discussion there has been!

He seemed very immature for his age. As the interview progressed, his speaking improved some but just very stunted.

I can't be the only one who thinks he looks a bit too... chunky to be the perp, right? JMO
Boxers can bulk up past regulation weight in a night. Just saying.

I found her interview more interesting than his. MOO. Sad, and

I am no body language expert. I noticed LD would make a statement and nod his head ‘no’ as if his words disagreed. Saw the same thing with BM (Morphew). It maybe the way they talk, but it was noticeable . Especially with LD

Yes perhaps. I still don't think he did it, because I also can't imagine the perp bringing this kind of attention to himself. I just think it was a bad decision by LD.

Oh wow, I had not heard that. I have followed the JBR case since it happened. And I have done a fair amount of amateur analysis on various aspects of the case. I keep being reminded of JBR lately.
