What bothered me is the passivity with her. It was like yeah, I guess they are spending 6 hours in my house because that lady is missing. Like it was somehow normal and they were doing it with everyone. I also felt like she was a little disconnected cognitively and it made me feel weird. Like why are they doing this to her. But for all I know she was a willing participant and wanted this interview to happen.

It's just all her references were weird 'you know I spent some time at 'xxx' house cause they are such great neighbors and as you know I went to my son 'xxx' house in Phoenix with the grandchildren.

It was all out strange IMO
The cognitive disconnect is interesting to me, because from what I can tell, she's still working in a professional capacity from an office not far from home. I should hope she can stay on topic a bit better in her professional life.

Just starting to watch the LD interview and it’s already a disaster. He thinks the video doesn’t look like him!!

Yikes. We’ll see how it goes but so far, not good. What was he thinking!

True, but it also suggests an underlying and potentially unhealthy attachment. Whether that is relevant or not remains to be seen. It could be as simple as he is taking care of his elderly Mom and they are sharing in grief following the passing of her husband/his father. If she also has major health issues as he suggested, then that would make even more sense.

I didn't get the vibe that he had anything to do with this. We'll see I suppose.

JMO.
He's allegedly committed several crimes. He got caught for all of them. He's not smart enough to have pulled this kidnaping off. He might do or sell drugs but he's not a psychopath. The mom was just being a mom. That's my take. JMO

LD, during his interview, denied ever being truly close to NG's house . Other than the 2 miles he lives from her.
I had thought that maybe one of the reasons for the search warrant was that his cell may have popped up close by due to geofencing. Hopefully he is telling the truth on that....

His attorney mentioned that an 'informant' may have tipped off LE and that led to the search warrant. I'm wondering if the lady LD was arrested with last year in a Walmart parking lot gave LE a bogus "tip". She was arrested 1 day before the swat raid ,so the timing seems to line up.

Don't want to criticize MD because she has been thru a lot. And she is 77. But I caught her saying at the beginning of her interview(20 seconds in) that she never met NG. But in Brian Entin's interview with LD's attorney---he mentioned that MD met both SG and NG at a grocery store. The attorney said-- (paraphrasing) "yeah-MD told me she met them".
OK. I guess I will just discount that to memory loss.

As I understand it, ML and SG were colleagues until sexual misconduct allegations emerged about ML. SG reported that news when it broke, I believe
Oh - thank you for explaining .

From what you say, SG reported it after it broke - but she wasn’t the one who ‘led the charge’ on his behaviour that resulted in his downfall. So I’ll discount ML 🥹

BE has a new video this evening. I didn't think it had been shared yet, but apologies if it has and I missed it. Going to watch now.

I agree, especially when she seemed indifferent to them breaking down locked doors.... "Well, this is normal, glad I could be of help kind sirs"..... IMO

I just rewatched the interview and I agree with your thoughts. 100%
I thought the MCD interview was a completely normal response for someone of her generation, not social media savvy and thrust into this situation. What I found disturbing was the leading questions by the interviewer.

I thought the same thing about MD when she said she hadn't met her. My impression was she seemed very medicated.

Yeah, I wonder if the pressure from CP forced their hands, here.

I really thought these two had nothing to do with the case. But after watching MCD's video in particular, I'm not so sure.

It's funny because I'm reading this book called I Know When You Are Lying by Mark McClish, and it's all about statement analysis and trying to detect deception. Even with my absolute layman's understanding of the topic, I could pick out some troubling anomalies specifically addressed in the book.

In fact, the last chapter I read was about the order of words and phrases. When Briana asks M at the end, "No involvement from you or Luke?" M responds, "No involvement from Luke and I, no." The book suggests that she might have switched the order and put herself last because she has more involvement than Luke. Plus, the response is very passive.

I'm very surprised at how suspicious this interview has made me. I really, really didn't expect that.

This doesn’t happen to me often. After watching this mind numbing interview, I just stared at the wall.

I need to think on why I’m so bothered. IMO

Agreed!

Attorney just wants to convert public opinion as soon as humanly possible so he can get a good jury pool for that lawsuit he's about to file. It's likely as simple as that. Garnering sympathy goes a long way in negotiations for damages.

JMO.
Wow. Never thought about the attorney using this interview to convert public opinion and garner sympathy for LD, and that makes sense.

People in the mental health profession sometimes joke that they'll stay in the profession until they solve their own prolems. I'm sort of joking but also serious. Something is way off-kilter with her. JMO

What's behind NG's home? Backyard touching her backyard?
I’ve asked along these lines too Napoli.

Does anyone local have a Google view of her neighbourhood that shows neighbours proximity etc ?

… and she never knew NG lived close by? She seemed to contradict herself on knowing / not knowing NG / never hearing about her . It was odd . Moo.

If LD isn't the suspect, and I don't feel like he is now that I've seen the interview and he has had his Range Rover returned (which is huge), then I am now convinced that they have very little to go on. And if that is true, then it pretty much confirms to me that this isn't some small town hustler or one-off criminal.

With little to go on 30 days in, this was likely a professional hit or an experienced sadist.

JMO.
