No, some Pima County streets have AADT counts [Annual Average Daily Traffic] as high as 50,000 like East River Road.

North Campbell Ave, which I believe is on the way to NG’s home, has AADT 15,688.

Here’s an interactive map of AADT to check around if you are familiar with addresses:

https://pag.public.ms2soft.com/tcds/tsearch.asp?mod=tcds

all imo
Except Nanos says "hundreds of thousands of vehicles that were out driving that time of day." That made me facepalm as well. In a city of about 545,000 people, hundreds of thousands are out driving in the area at 2 a.m. on a Sunday? 🤔 🤷‍♀️

Sheriff is so clearly more of a politician and absolutely not a strategically and tactically trained LE person. His language lacks precision about details.

LE needs to use a communication specialist to speak to the public on behalf of LE.

MOO
His interview was gibberish. . ZERO, ZILCH, NADA. He has nothing of substance. 2 failed media events in prime time make it look like they are adrift. I don't care if the president signed the federal warrant. Whatever their criteria was for getting it, it panned out to be a much ado about nothing, charade. Lots of hype. Lots of optics and lots of smoke and mirrors that have persisted. Hard to keep doing that.

The sheriff's message came through loud and clear. He communicated well. We are scattered and have no clear and present focus. Everything is up for grabs. NOT to say they arent trying. Hope for a break through soon. jmo

I am confused as to what you think. Was it gibberish or loud and clear?

Since AB also indicated that nothing came out of the search, I can provide the info of where they were searching. Here is how I found it.

I checked all neighboring counties for there SAR/PD helicopters. Santa Cruz (South), Cochise(East),Graham(NE),Pinal (N)and Maricopa(NW) of Pina County. Santa Cruz’s and Graham do not own Helios and depend on the other counties for assistance, when needed. So Cochise, Pinal and Maricopa were left.

I found the tail numbers of the Helis and checked their flight profiles for yesterday. Pinal County flew their heli yesterday during 2 legs. They left from Coolidge Muhnicipal to ARIVACA AZ, stayed for app 2hrs and returned via half arch around Tucson, then following I10 a few miles east and landing back in CM.

ARIVACA is app 11 miles N of the MEXICAN border. Flight coordinates for ARIVACA N31.6295 W111.4972

The Sheriff’s latest comments lead me to believe it is time to give the public some more information regarding the know facts of this case. After four weeks, a million dollar plus reward, all the publicity, tens of thousands of tips, the videos, reports of 400 agents assigned, and two raids that have not lead to an arrest yet, it is my opinion that LE needs more focused help from the public. To date, it seems many aspects ofthe crime have been kept from the public, for good reason, as long as the case was progressing. However, taking things at face value, it still seems like LE is searching for that needle in a haystack, evidenced by looking at ‘hundreds of thousands of cars’. Is it time to give the public some more details to help focus their efforts....such as is a specific make/color of car of interest, were the ransom notes deemed real or not, are there any other videos/photos that can be shared, dates for the two PG photos, was anything missing from the house, etc. Anything that could point the public in the right direction to help identify POI’s, something more specific that may register with an individual and result in THE tip being phoned in. Soomebody knows something that can tip the scales.... Of course, if they have a solid suspect and are just building a strong case as data comes back too them, then what they are doing is fine, biding their time. Just my opinion, but it seems LE could use some help.

Very close to where the first search warrant was served.

Sounds like they hit a dead end with Walmart in terms of tracing the purchases of the backpack
Color me not the least bit surprised. Like the rest of porch guy's get up, it is an ubiquitous item from the largest retailer in the world. I don't think that was an accident.

And to my eye he seems a bit too clammy/anxious/unsure to be a psychopath in a limelight moment. Face is shiny and cutting right through the makeup. I don't know for sure if he is telling the truth, but he'd be more convincing if he was a lying psychopath. And since a psychopath likely committed this crime, I am inclined at the moment to believe him.

JMO.
Yeah, after hearing the possible resemblance, I looked at the preview image and thought, "This guy's too sweaty to be doing this interview..."

I do not think it was him, just that it... doesn't look good and may invite more speculation.

I believe the FBI has person / persons in their sight, but need that extra bit of evidence that makes an 'iron-clad' case. They are 'holding things close to their vest / chest'.
"Hundreds of thousands of vehicles" - seems a bit much or is that just me..? 🤔
I don't think he's literally saying "Hundreds of thousands of vehicles", I think he is saying we have a few vehicles in on our radar, but there are a lot of vehicles that we have to rule out. He's just been 'lazy' in language. Think about it, he's been answering 'tons' of questions for over a month. His 'forte' isn't answering questions. You could tell from day one. So I think it's to be expected.

Still an hour's drive away from Rio Rico, though. Or is there more to it than that?

Help me out. I'm dazed and confused. Maybe a little obtuse too.

AB said they were searching a "neighboring" county of Pima. She also later said 1 county away.
Arivaca AZ according to the maps is in Pima county.
What am I missing?

Completely agree. I am a public information officer and we are literally trained to speak to the media, especially on a high-visibility case like this one.

There were two unsolved murders in February both male victims. One in a homeless encampment and another about 3 miles from Nancy's home.
I'd expect LE to take a hard look at that second one.

Thanks. I didn't realize there wasn't a shorter, more direct route.

"I think the investigators are definitely closer," Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said during an interview with NBC News. ""We got a lot of intel, a lot of leads, but now it’s time to just go to work
