Possibly two people needed to move her?
They could have moved her with a wheelchair if she wasn't kicking and screaming.

this has been my exact thought. while not impossible, i find it hard to believe that if it was a botched robbery, the perp(s) would bother removing her body from the home. if you don't account for that beforehand, it's gonna be extremely difficult (and complicate everything) to suddenly take one of the most major pieces of evidence with you.

I remember a cop telling my family once that robbers want to get in and out as fast and easily as possible--they're not going to bother working on forcing open a door that isn't budging and they're not going to spend any more time in a home than they have to. and there's a reason most robberies occur when people aren't home -- perps don't want to deal with the residents in any way (whether alive or dead), they are there for things (/money). Stopping to pick up and transport an elderly woman's body after attacking/kill her just isn't going to be in most robber's repertoire. But there's probably some outlier cases where it's happened so i'm not outright dismissing it.

I have a sinking feeling it was SA.

It wasn't robbery if all her access to cash was found at home, imo.

The more I think about it, the more I believe more than 1 individual was involved.
Just gut feeling. Easier to remove her maybe.
I just started following, but why would they move her? Most adult victims attacked in their homes are left there, as the perp(s) focus on escaping undetected.

JMO, it may be an indication that she’s still alive, if they bothered to take her with them.

1 am to 4 am would indicate someone came to the door, had a key or broke in (I.e. wasn’t sitting in a closet for 5 hours once she got home). Broke in seems so unlikely given how fancy the house was and how set back the house is. So, again, this leads me to came to the door or had a key. Inside job.

The time makes me think someone young and in need of fast cash. Prob for drugs.
Don't understand why they would take her with them.

“My mom Nancy is my heart and my everything and my model for what a mother should be,” Savannah wrote in a heartfelt birthday tribute to her mother on Jan. 27, 2020.

This article has a lot of info about Nancy, Savannah and their family. Reading it today feels si heartbreaking.

Her mother had her birthday last week.

The best time to break-in and take from you, as an example, is when you are at church (work) during the day when it’s suspected no one is home is the ideal time. When someone comes into your home in the middle of the night, when you are likely home, they are prepared to come into contact with you…and don’t care. I believe we will hear this was someone known to her. I don’t think this was a smash and grab and she got in the way. IMO

IMO, they would move her out of shame and/or to hide evidence that would link the crime to them (DNA).

She looks really vibrant and active in those Today videos. Is there any chance she had an online life and maybe met some scammer or con artist? My elderly parents can’t even turn on a computer but she’s on FB.

Hi there - first time posting here. This story really caught my attention, especially since I used to live right across the main street from where Nancy lives. This may have already been mentioned, but while looking at her Facebook profile, I noticed she shared a lot of political posts and I sincerely hope none of that played any role.

Do you happen to know if this is a gated community?

I’m glad LE is going door to door in her neighborhood.

Here's a question LE's likely asking:

"Qui bono?"

I just read an article where the neighbor said it IS NOT a gated community. there are no sidewalks ...she said if you walk a couple of 'feet off the road you are in desert Ish areas with a lot of Rocks and cacti.

Sorry if already asked and answered-anyone know how she gets to church?

Benefits from what? No money is missing. If she is found deceased, an investigation would happen before any inheritance. She might be living comfortably but I don't think we're talking a huge fortune.

I'm leaning against someone that close, tbh.

Since her wallet, etc appear not to be missing, I'm going to sadly agree with the SA speculation. This reminds me of Gary Martell allegedly killing and assaulting his 82yo neighbor, Dolores "Dee" Martin, in Skowhegan, Maine in summer 2024.

I also just finished the BTK book as part of this month's Websleuths book club, and my mind couldn't help go to a BTK-style strangulation and assault/body dump as well. JMO and I hope we're all wrong and she's somehow found safely!

Someone else replied that no, it isn’t gated.

Yep. That's where my thinking is going too.

Or cui could get angry enough to commit crimes if they felt they were no longer able to bono in some way or another. This sounds potentially personal.

Has it ever specifically been confirmed that she lives alone?

I'm thinking it possibly could be 1 of the staff members that she employs. Maybe that's who picks her up for church on Sunday morning which she never made it to.

Could be she has a lot of investments and/or savings, not necessarily cash on hand.

Why take a body to access that?

I know it's a usual motive, but I'm not seeing it in this particular case.

Still hopeful she is somehow found safe, while also considering we won't.
