Brian Entin on his way…Purse, ID, phone left in house, homicide team involved…search team “taking a rest”…
remember Sandra Crispo.... she was dropped off by familyI also don't think this is random. MOO it's somebody who knew her situation and was able to take advantage of it. People suck.
How does they sync up with her taken by force when she was asleep in her bed? With an unlocked door and also forced entry, I wonder if someone was actively robbing her house when she was dropped off.
I wonder whether the sheriff meant that they thought she was actually asleep when she was abducted/taken, or merely that she was taken/abducted at a time when she might reasonably be expected to be sleeping.
Or maybe the reporting is like the game of "telephone," and the story has changed in the telling.
JJ Them not being able to State what she was wearing leads to why they believe taken in the middle of the night while she was sleeping otherwise I would imagine they would state what she had on when she was dropped off. So I guess that's there between 1 and 4:00 AM theory.
Maybe she woke up to noise, went to get out of bed ( put glasses on, find/reach for her cane etc) and person(s) grabbed her out of the bed etc. Did they find her glasses? How does they sync up with her taken by force when she was asleep in her bed?
As usual, in early stages of a case, we are missing a lot of information. But if initially, nothing looked askew to the family, even if they just saw her cane, that would have caused them to look around for her at her residence for a while. After all, who would expect her to go missing without it?I don't think there is a large amount of blood in the home or anything too obviously disturbed based on this:
"Family members looked for Guthrie for about an hour before calling the Pima County Sheriff's Department, according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos."
If family was searching in the home and surrounding area for an hour before calling police, they would have seen a large amount of blood or other obvious evidence of a homicide and called police sooner than an hour after arriving.
IMO, the sheriff's office who is calling this a crime scene has other evidence to call it a crime scene, whether that be video evidence, fingerprints, or something else that isn't as obvious as large pools of blood would be.

This is what I am finding confusing. I was assuming that because the family waited to call police, there mustn't have been anything significantly out of place immediately indicating something nefarious had happened. Yet now they are saying the house was in some sort of disarray.I don't think there is a large amount of blood in the home or anything too obviously disturbed based on this:

they may not need "signs of distress" if it is as at some weird hour she would not be put and about at allMore than know if money was withdrawn, they should have video evidence of who withdrew the money if this happened. If they only see Nancy in the recording, they'll be looking for signs of distress IMO. If they see a perpetrator's face, then they need to identify them, prompting the request for local camera footage. I would guess it will be dash cam footage that is most helpful but then again all they need is one ring camera (or similar) with a good view of the road to see who drives past
IMO
Maybe they found some sort of binding? Something that could be used to restrain her somehow

They may have forced her to go to an ATM with them?I just really don't get the whole taking her from her home thing.
yes...If it was a robbery and she interrupted, they could tie her up/restrain her and finish what they came for or take her to try to get her to go to ATMs, or kill her and leave her body there.
Me too....because she may have known her attacker? If it were for ransom I would have expected a ransom demand by now so I am sort of ruling that out. If they took her to try to get more money from her via bank or credit cards, why not just let her go somewhere, drop her off on a random street corner?
I am really worried she has met her end and that her body has been hidden God only knows where
DNA samples. Vomit. Really hoping this isn't SA.Maybe they found some sort of binding? Something that could be used to restrain her somehow
Hope she is found safe and soon but doesn’t feel like she will be found safe(really don’t like typing those last few words)

if there is no camera footage of an intruder, her leaving the house between 1-4 a.m. has to be oddLast night the sheriff was talking about how often calls like this come in, and spoke about how unusual it was that they’d have homicide detectives involved.
He cryptically mentioned the scene indicating that something nefarious may have happened, so there’s just got to be something there telling them that (ransacked, blood, etc).
Extremely sad situation. And to expand, the fact that our older adults so beloved by their families can still fall prey to the world around them. I hope and pray that Nancy will be found alive Godspeed, and brought home to her loved ones.Maybe they found some sort of binding? Something that could be used to restrain her somehow
