AZ Nancy Guthrie (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

Disagree. Fluids in the bed would raise concern,
I put in an earlier post that an elderly person's skin is very thin. Nancy had bruising on her arm in one pic. My 92 year old mother had bruises like that and the skin was so thin the bruising would bleed. She would find blood on her sheets (upper part) at times. Also, even the slightest bump on the bruised area would cause it to bleed. Is it blood on the sheets you are referring to?

Not sure why this presser was necessary…
This sheriff needs a break. And a nap. And a snickers bar 😕

Q (again) any ransom you sort of didn't answer that one

A. we are looking at all leads, we have a lot of leads, I know you are doing your job, but we have a job to do too, I need to back away from this for a while (is rather abruptly ending Q and A)

WOW. He sidestepped that very specific question not once but twice. Interesting. So maybe they have gotten some sort of demand or ransom but are trying to vet if it is serious or a crank.

I think there IS a ransom for NG after being questioned now at the press questioning. IMO

Not much new so far from the press holding today. Next press conference will be Thursday morning around 11am PST (unless something else comes up)

- No further info on the door camera that was taken
- No tire tracks found
- No info on details about the forced entry into the house
- Not saying there was any blood in the house or outside. Just the normal DNA processing.

Press conference starts at 21:00 mins. Sheriff seems very frustrated, overwhelmed and guarded on details of this case now.

This reminds me of the Idaho 4 press conference with Moscow PD. They had difficulty with attention; they didn’t provide much information. Hopefully, like they were doing, this PD is just keeping it to themselves so they don’t compromise the investigation.

Just listened to the presser which showcased a Sheriff that is overwhelmed.
No information at all. So either they are working on a hostage/ransom situation
or they are really clueless. I hope there is more going on behind the scene.
Next presser in two days?
I think there are ransom negotiations.

I know people here have speculated that Guthrie is diabetic and that the drug she needs is insulin. But do we know that for certain?

JMO
unless her case is very serious, i don't see why insulin would be categorized as a 24 hour emergency. As a diabetic (albeit 44 years younger than her), i could live with a high glucose reading of 200, or 220, 250, etc. without passing away in a day. but maybe for her she possibly could given her age and/or any co-morbidities.

Frustrating presser. It’s clear they don’t have evidence that most of us assumed they would have (still waiting on her home surveillance footage it appears).

Definitely walking back my prediction for a quick resolution.

And a media spokesperson.

That is likely true it's just....it gives more room for rampant speculation and wild theories is all
IMO, they cannot worry about speculation and wild theories…that’s our job here. 😂
No more press conferences unless something breaks.
Waiting on video footage….urgently requested.

Wow, nothing new to share.

No car or description
No idea if it was random or targeted
No suspect
No idea what she was wearing.
Can't comment regarding RANSOM...

I don't find that strange. Not everyone uses their Apple watch to track sleep.
True. Her family would probably know if she wore it to bed.

JMO.

Won't someone please ask about a dog or no dog???
Yes, I was so hoping someone would ask about a dog/pets.

They don't seem eager to openly share details (understandable), so if this turns into a long investigation, then probably most information that comes out during it will be from "sources close to the investigation".
