Family may have thought she would have to be outside somewhere, presumably more family arrived. Once LE arrived, LE may have asked about home security. If this was the moment that the missing camera was discovered, that alone would send alarm bells ringing --
If the perpetrator was familiar, he may have been aware whether she has a paid security service or not.
If it was someone known to her though, why abduct her in the middle of the night? So many easier opportunities...
Removing her from one location to another, that isn't nothing.
