Im thinking that the ransom note was sent to LE first and then when it didn't get the attention they wanted, they have now forwarded it to news outlets.
Hmmm if thats the case, and they want attention, we are possibly looking at a whole other type of monster.

Do you know how close this area is to NG’s home? It’s still circling!
Right in the area around her neighborhood. Looks like it's moving off now.

Her daughter dropped victim off at home after like 8:30pm. The daughter would most likely help Mom in bed and do whatever was necessary to get Mom in bed which I would think would include walking dog and making sure house safe and secure for the night. As caregiver to my Mom, age 85, who chooses to live alone, I make sure every night she is tucked in bed and safe, secure, and comfortable before seeing her the next morning. I wonder who was taking victim to church or if she would go alone. Weekly church seems more like with family members then solo, but maybe victim regularly attends church by herself.
i guess only family can speak to routine however reported that famiy dropped her off at about 930 to 945 and given she lives alone I think she probably gets herself to bed. Doubt anyone is coming over nightly to tuck her in. Some are quite independent at her age despite needing a cane. That is single level house so no stairs. I also got the impression she drove to church as if she usually got a ride someone would have arrived and found her missing.

That is the street where her home is. Not terribly tight circles as if they have a specific point of activity to focus on, more like gentle loops in the area.
It’s also a private owner so it could be a news station’s helicopter, someone hired by the family, or a citizen just helping with the search.

Any word on if her medications were found or not? That could give a clue on if she is still living or not. Sadly i think she is not. Anyone in the family or ex tied to bitcoin though?

A lot of people here are assuming things about Ring doorbells that are not true. Ring is not set to save recordings by default. You have to opt in to a subscription to have things saved. I know this because I set mine up last week. I only recently started paying for the subscription after years of just having one that only had real time data. I thought of it as a deterrent more than anything. Also, my elderly father didn’t like having recordings of his life saved because of privacy issues. Constant surveillance is something older folks aren’t always comfortable with. I’m no fan of LE, but the camera not saving anything does not mean there was negligence from LE.

And presumably you can't tell the difference from looking at it, whether it will store weeks or hours or nothing at all? Is there any outer indication that it is recording or otherwise? A red light, for example?

I'm wondering, did they remove it before the crime (as part of the plan?) or after the crime (as part of an attempted cover up?).

Someone said they are not easy to remove, is that also true of yours?

The front of the house is a circular drive. The family would have been right at the front door as she walked in. My guess they tried to get her as close to the door as possible since she had mobility issues. JMO
I understand what you are saying. It is also gravel, which would make it unstable for a person who was already unstable when she walked. I can only speak from personal experience when saying that I would make sure my parents made it inside the house - like, I would actually walk beside them to be sure they were safe. Not thinking they were in danger, just to be sure they didn't fall.

CNN is also reporting the helicopter has been circling the area for the past 15 minutes or so.
Where are you seeing this on CNN? Thanks!

Hmm. I drop off adults at their home, I don't go inside and tuck them in. Even elderly people. Maybe I am dropping the ball here.
i don't think Nancy Guthrie needed tucking in.

She had dinner with her family, then they brought her home and she went to bed, and in the morning they found out that she didn't show up for church.

My guess is that there will be a family drama, a relative or something. I don't think she's alive, they got rid of the body to hide the murder.
Didnt want to say it, but I thought this too.

Well, if one of her nightgowns is missing we could guess she was wearing that. Her daughters (and others) likely have helped her pack, done laundry, know about her clothing...

Great point. It could be something that took a little time to identify, you'd have to ring round family perhaps and discuss whether or not the nightie described is one she owns and would likely be wearing.

Wait, I thought no one knew what Nancy was wearing that night?

Didn't family drop her off at home? Presumably the last time they saw her, she would have been wearing the clothes she went to dinner in. And who knows what she put on to go to bed?! It's not a very good piece of 'proof' to use something no one can actually verify :(

Now I'm losing hope that the note is real. I bet the bitcoin address is real. But perhaps two separate crimes here, the abduction of Nancy and an opportunist trying to make money out of it?
Could they be referencing something other than clothing, jewelry as an example?

The flight started off at the Pima County Sheriff's Departments air unit building

Possibly, but that makes me think it's fake and that the person in question is just trying to get the ransom.

Just because a bitcoin wallet has an owner as they claim, doesn't mean that owner is the same person who kidnapped her.

The owner of the bitcoin wallet could literally be anyone anywhere on the planet.

Might have been some eccentric who’s obsessed with her daughter.

As soon as the cell data & the footage from the roads & local area is fully analysed it’ll be game over for the offender.

Possibly still alive but I think the abductor may kill her when he or she knows that the police are getting close.

My opinion
BBM:

Tragically that may already have happened in the house which is why the suspect removed her,
imo
