I am just not believing the ‘ransom’ story.

I think it’s really far fetched and incredibly risky - would you really choose to abduct an 84 year old lady with health issues for ransom? Especially when her health issues are related to high blood pressure and heart problems. She could pass away pretty quickly under the stress of it all.

I am sticking with this sadly being a sexual assault and then a murder by somebody she didn’t know or had loose connections to.
I believe possibly SA and killed her during a struggle in her bedroom then panicked and somehow dragged or carried her out to a vehicle so no one would think she was murdered and disposed her body somewhere. I’m not buying the kidnap story if it’s him I believe he killed her before leaving the property. Who knows maybe he had been hiding in the house before Nancy got home from dinner then when she got ready for bed he came out. This is JMO I’m getting such a bad vibe about this situation it literally makes me sick to my stomach I just can’t imagine the fear Nancy went through.

Jumping ahead (can't keep up and great thoughts to read) But 50 years ago (can't believe how time has passed) some young affluent men decided to kidnap and hold ransom a bus load of young children and their driver, brave calm thinking Mr. Ed Ray.
They literally buried them alive in a storage container. Fast forward, there are over 200 abandoned mines in the Tucson area...
how many have been secret hangouts for local youth, adventure seeking hikers, historians, people looking for relics of the past?
Maybe some still not mapped or commonly known in the area. One wouldn't have to drive far if all they wanted to do was hide
a human being....

The Tucson Mountains has over 200 prospector pits and abandoned mines along with scattered remains of numerous mining camps.

I have not seen or heard the date of the deadline mentioned from the ransom note. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said today in the press conference that he would have another press conference on Thursday.
just a guess but if this is still going on Thurs. I think Pima County will have a spokesperson conducting the press conf.

That's bad that TMZ went public with the "ransom note". If you get that note, you just go to LE with it, you don't broadcast about it. Doesn't matter if you're the media. smh. JMO.

Wasn't it reported that she needed medication on a daily basis, and it would threaten her life if she did not have it. How are they keeping her without her medication? I haven't read anything specific about the note yet, about to go look. Did they give a day, time for the drop off? How many days?

Re. the ransom note, does anyone remember seeing reported what the deadline given was?

My brain is telling me 'Thursday' but now I can't find that source.
The one from Arizona Pima news said he wanted the bitcoin by Monday if not she would be killed

OH WOW, I saw TMZ today had a post about it, said it was sent to them. I was working and couldn't investigate. Are you telling me that TMZ went public BEFORE calling the police. THAT is terrible, no ethics if that is true, WOW.

In this video from CBS it looks like - along with the blood - maybe the remnants of a bunch of flowers, or possibly a plant has been disturbed?

ETA: time in video 0.26
Looks like Spotted Spurge to me. Common weed plant that "bleeds milky" when you break a stem.

A little google on Pacemakers. My mom had one for years ,when she passed away it was turned off.
I'm sure by now they have a close time of when she passed .

A pacemaker does not automatically stop when you die; it will continue to send electrical signals until its battery dies, which can last for several days or even years. Although the device remains active, it cannot keep a person alive or prevent death from terminal illness or heart failure.
Key Details About Pacemakers and Death:
  • Continued Operation: The device keeps pacing, but the heart muscles become too weak (acidotic) to respond to the signals.
  • Deactivation: While not required, pacemakers can be turned off by a doctor, nurse, or technician using a special magnet or programmer to allow a natural death.
  • ICDs vs. Pacemakers:While a pacemaker just paces, an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) might deliver uncomfortable shocks at the end of life, so deactivating ICDs is common in hospice care
    .
    • Cremation Warning: If the body is being cremated, the pacemaker must be removed beforehand because the intense heat can cause it to explode.
A pacemaker is not designed to recognize death; therefore, it continues to function mechanically until it is manually turned off or the battery fails.
My understanding was that the pacemaker unsynced from her watch and phone. Which would happen once the pacemaker would lose connection with the other devices, possibly due to distance. I dont think they said her pacemaker stopped completely

It's the dry heat that's so deceptive. I've been to Arizona in the summer, a little hiking too. One dehydrates fast.
Very deceptive. Supplies for hiking here. More water then you think you will need, a hat, a mirror and a comb for the jumping cactus (cholla cactus).

brian entin mentioned a UPS or Amazon delivery while he was filming. Very surreal.
I think someone asked about the Amazon package at the press conference and the the sheriff said they had released the home back to the family. So presumably anyone --Amazon etc -- can do what they usually do there.

ok so already conflicting reports. she was at a restaurant, she was playing mahjong...who was she with at a restaurant (wait staff/witnesses) and/or who was she playing mahjong with (at a house? a library?) ? pretty easy to rule those people in or out. IMO one of these people knows what happened. and IMO LE knows something nefarious. keep in mind folks, law enforcement as well as the press protects the rich, famous and public figures. So JMO they're protecting SG as well as the investigation.

I know NG was as sharp as a tack given her age, but I think you can fool an elderly person easily, especially if you wake them up in the middle of the night. My 80ish parents were very security-conscious, but twice that I know of, they let perfect strangers with ulterior motives into their home. Thank God, I happened to be there one time. A pleasant looking woman came to the door making believe she knew my dad. I threw her out. If you have a good enough story, you can fool someone, especilly someone vulnerable.

IMHO someone close to her could have hired people to do this, with the promise that they will get a cut of the ransom. How could this be random?

Am I hearing that the ransom note has not been authenticated yet, they don't know if it is real. That would make sense in that it came days after her abduction vs right away?

Do you see that purple thing in the pic? Wonder what that is.
When I zoom it looks like a purple flower underneath a redder, square, flattish object.

I think they redacted some of it because I'm not seeing the Monday Thursday reference anymore

Are flock cameras common in the areas close to her home? If so, that gives me more hope that someone's vehicle was captured on camera during the time frame of her disappearance.

I think TMZ said they were trying to contact LE but had a hard time getting through to the right person. If I recall correctly they said they were waiting for a call back from LE when they went live with the story. I saw a video of TMZ announcing all this.
