What a trying time for both of them. If one parent gives "too much" in one direction to come to terms with what happens to a child and the other doesn't give what some might consider "quite enough" then tempers can flare, emotions can run like the waves in the ocean, and resentment can set in, even finger-pointing.

For example, Jug could feel she doesn't spend enough time with him; he could think she should move on with her life and be a wife to him and a mother, too.
It's like the saying "being between a rock and a hard place", which is never comfortable.

I remember the movie "We were the Mulvaneys" about the Catholic high shcool girl who gets r*ped by a jerk from a powerful and wealthy family. It tore the entire family apart. And although it's a different situation, it's roughly the same outcome.

Prayers for Beth and Jug, so that they can each find serenity in their lives.
I saw that show. It was heartbeaking. :(

This is so sad and so predictable. Great stress causes great schizms and roads that go traveled separately. Just because there is no other road. Bless Beth and my heart understands her road. Your children always come first.

This is very sad news. I have often said that I don't know where Sharon Rocha gets the strength to go on after knowing what horrific things happened to Laci and Conner. And for Beth never knowing....it must be worse. I know that I would be obsessed with what happened and would probably not be a good wife/mother/friend for a long time if one of my children was murdered. I don't think I could handle it very well at all.

There is another thread that I started in the NH forum about this too. Maybe they can be linked together?>>

I saw it, too. It was so very sad. I felt so bad for the daughter.

In any case, I surely hope that Beth and Jug work out their differences and remain close. Beth really needs all the support that she can get from those who love her.

Vert, very sad. Hate to hear about this. I wonder how Natalee's brother is doing these days?

The sad thing is that Joran, Satish and Deepak won't miss a beat with their lives. I just hope some day they will get what's coming to them.
Why? Nothing has been proven against them. For all we know Natalee drowned herself in the ocean.

I'm so sorry to hear about this! I've heard that this happens a lot in the marriages of people with murdered children... it's not a surprise, but I still feel so sad for them. :(
