The newsfeed I was on quit working.
(Just me, or everyone else?)

For those who saw it could you give a recap, please?

I gather she was found at a church. Lady who took her hasn't been located or positively identified, but LE has strong leads on her identity and feel they will locate her soon. What else did I miss?
I missed it too but am listening now here:

She was found in front of Faith Christian Center.Someone called the tip line.I wonder if it was the same female who abducted her, dropped her off and made the call.

From the press conference:

At 8:18 p.m., LE received a call on the tipline from a woman located at 719 Dillard Street - The Word of Faith Christian Center - who had located a small child and believed it to be Ahlora. The child was by herself in very near proximity to the church - out in front of it.

She was transported to the hospital where Ahlora was checked out. She appears to be doing well with no apparent injuries and she was reunited with her family. Ahlora was able to tell them her mother's name which aided in her identification.

The suspect is still at large and LE asks that the public continue to help them. They still have not identified her but have some very strong investigative leads.

In the coming days, they will bring in a specially trained forensic investigator to talk to Ahlora and try to determine what's happened over the last 30 hours.

I think someone has to know about this young female, certain now she is local.
She will be in custody by tomorrow I think.

Police said they are not concerned for more abductions by her but asks people to know where your family members are.Meaning keep an eye on your kids.

So glad Ahlora is safe.

Hopefully, her abductor will be found soon. There is always the concern that this woman might try and abduct another child. One never knows.

In the pictures of Alhora at the hospital, she looks very happy. That seems like an indication that nothing bad happened to her. IMO.

Wonder if this was a copycat abdication from Dulce? Both children being abducted in daylight from a playground?

Boy, it is the rare outcome like this that cannot be overstated. Not that it should ever happen in the first place.

I don't know the story but no one should have ever taken this child but if this woman listened to the pleas to drop her off no questions asked, at the store, at the top of the street, etc. and then did so at a church than kudos to her for doing the right thing--it does not forgive the act but the child thus far appears unharmed and is safe.

I have a feeling more has been going on behind the scenes than we know and still is.

None of that matters though in the face of this wonderful and rare news!

Was on this thread a lot today reading, went away, came back to this news! :D

That crossed my mind also along the lines of some kind of cognitive disfunction, if that is a word.I had to think of something more PC than mental illness.

If she does have some kind of issue, maybe a relative realized what happened and said to drop her off and they were the one to make the call. Just contemplating how this happened.

I have the same thoughts.

If the abductor is local, maybe not.
