She'd been strangled with a coat hanger, her body wrapped in a blanket.
Anderson was last seen at a convenience store on Carolina Beach Road the afternoon before she was found, according to Douglas Vredenburgh, who was the lead investigator on the case in 1997. He suspects Anderson was killed the night she disappeared, probably by someone who picked her up on the street while she was working as a prostitute."
