CATAWBA COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Two people wanted as "person of interest" in the case of a missing Catawba County man are now charged with breaking into his home.

Benny Daniels, 78, was last seen Saturday night.

Two people renting from Daniels, Tabitha Harrison and Thomas Ball, who lived below him were being sought as persons of interest. Wednesday, Harrison and Ball were found at a motel and taken into custody.

- Prosecutors for the State of North Carolina announced Tuesday they will not pursue capital punishment in the murder case against Rodney Adam Ball, 27, of Virginia.

However, authorities said Ball still faces the possibility of life in prison without parole.
