Police detectives, firefighters and K-9 units conducted a search early Thursday in the 10400 block of Calico Crossing Lane in Charlotte, where they discovered the remains. The medical examiner will confirm the victims identity and determine the cause of death.
Police said they determined the search location based on information gathered during the investigation.

Police said a cooperating witness helped provide information that led them to Tanners remains.
