Tanner's family decided they wanted to talk with Smith to see if he would give them some answers.

After the meeting, the family told WBTV "we're no closer today than we were the night she went missing, unfortunately & sadly!"

My suggestion is to go to areas where LE needs assistance, where there will be other searchers, and hopefully teams searching. There should be coordinated efforts (I'm assuming). Good luck!

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police flew to Chicago early this week, rented a car and drove Smith back to Charlotte, where they arrived early Tuesday morning. The drive took 14 to 16 hours, Snow said.

“There is no word of what kind of questions they asked him during that drive,” Snow said Wednesday. “He was very tired — very hungry when I spoke to him yesterday.”

Update: Bail reduced for boyfriend of missing Greensboro woman

Updated 4:40 p.m.
A judge reduced bail for the man considered a person of interest in the presumed homicide of a missing Greensboro woman. A judge today reduced the bail for Angelo Grayson Smith Jr. from $100,000 to $20,000, media outlets report.

Friends and family of missing Guilford County Schools teacher Bianca Richardson Tanner insisted Wednesday that people refer to her in the present tense, not the past.

She is funny. She is pursuing a doctorate degree. She loves her job. She loves her students. She sometimes dances with them. And she wants them to be just as smart as she is.

A crowd that included Tanner’s parents, students, fellow teachers and others who’ve kept vigil since she disappeared, pinned on gold and leopard skin ribbons and gathered around the Reflection Pool at N.C. A&T Wednesday to show their support and pray that she will be found.

Police in Charlotte arrested the boyfriend of missing Charlotte teacher Bianca Tanner Thursday morning and charged him with her murder after a body was found in Steele Creek.

Angelo Grayson Smith Jr. is charged with murder.

The body, which was found on the 10400 block of Calico Crossing Lane near Lake Wylie, will be sent to the state medical examiner's office to be identified.

Perhaps one of our super mappers will map this address for us. (hint hint :D) I would like to see the terrain of the location where this body was found. LE must feel it is Bianca since AS has been charged with murder. :(

Police detectives, firefighters and K-9 units conducted a search early Thursday in the 10400 block of Calico Crossing Lane in Charlotte, where they discovered the remains. The medical examiner will confirm the victim’s identity and determine the cause of death.

Police said they determined the search location based on information gathered during the investigation.

Monroe said detectives believe they have found the remains of Tanner in a wooded area near Shopton Road West and Westinghouse Boulevard. This is about 16 miles from Smith’s apartment.

ETA: Okay, the two different locations are only 0.2 miles apart. It's a strip of wooded area between a housing development to the north and a business/industrial area to the south.

That is a weird random place to leave a body. He must have some knowledge of the area. It's mostly manufacturing shops, a few office parks and some residential. I used to drive thru there all the time.

FlyerFan, Do you know anything about Steele Creek where the body was found? How big is it etc.? TIA
