Found Deceased NC - Bryant Alexander Poole, 71, Asheville, 2 May 2020

He said on his Facebook page that the Cavalier King James spaniel is his "therapy dog."

Have read that he has family in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Apparently, the last contact with him is believed to be on May 2nd. Would have thought by now that LE would have pinged his phone, etc. and have more info. It seems almost impossible for us to help without any updates from LE.

I read through the Asheville PD FB post again and commenters are asking if there is an update. There must not be because there is no response. A neighbor mentions the dog is a female named Piper. He, his dog and his car must still be together because I don't see any reports of a found dog, found car or this poor man. I suspect he is off the side of the road somewhere. There are so many directions you'd have to go on so many roads to look for disturbed brush or tire marks.

Did he have a favorite spot in the mountains he liked to go to? Maybe where he took family for outings or students for hiking, etc. Where was his favorite restaurant or food take out place. Where did he like to shop or go for a stroll with Piper? A nearby park, an indoor facility like a mall, a dog park? Maybe there are traffic cameras that would show him headed to those areas. This is very puzzling that it is so quiet from officials.

A family member has shared that Mr. Poole was discovered deceased this morning. Have not seen anything official released by the Asheville Police Department. Deepest condolences to the family.

NCDPS - Silver Alert - Active Alerts

RALEIGH 5/16/20 10:52 PM -- At the request of the Asheville Police Department, the N.C. Center for Missing Persons has cancelled the Silver Alert for Bryant Alexander Poole.

#UPDATE: On May 16 Bryant Alexander Poole was found deceased in a rural area in Echols County, Georgia. The Asheville Police Department (APD) is working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and Echols County authorities in determining the circumstances of his death.
