NamUs states he was recognizable. What a shame there is no reconstruction.
I wonder:
- if a photo still exists that could be used to make a reconstruction.
- If he was reported missing but the report has gone missing.

Although it's been decades, he could still have relatives who would like to have him reburied somewhere specific.
Seems like a tough case to solve at this point, though.

It's a long shot, but could he be:
John L, NamUs #MP17778, missing from California in 1973 at age 28, 6'1", Black hair, Blue Eyes, front teeth described as "broken/chipped," had denim jacket. The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Granted denim jackets were popular in the 70's, John had tattoos not mentioned for our Doe, the weights are vastly different (280 lb for Doe, 125 lb for John. I wonder how accurate John's listed weight is, considering his height.)
