Found Deceased NC - Denee Rawls, 21, Charlotte, 22 Nov 2021 *Arrest*

Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding missing 21-year-old Denee Rawls.

Authorities say Rawls left her home near Robur Court in Charlotte voluntarily on November 22nd.

Her family says she has not yet returned home and they are concerned for her well-being.

Rawls is described as a Black woman, 5 feet 2 inches, 115 pounds, with black shoulder-length hair.

She was last seen wearing a black jacket with beige leggings.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call 911 immediately.

Someone must have identified the male since he is being called a friend.

Glad to hear the person is a friend -- but she is still missing since the 22nd. She's 21, so that's a bit of a plus -- she's not 14 y/o, so perhaps she is doing okay. Wondering if her family knows the friend.
She needs to let her family know she is okay -- if she is okay...

Tragedy: 21-year-old missing Charlotte woman found dead; boyfriend charged | WNCT

Detectives identified her boyfriend Nicholas Davis, 21, as a person of interest. On Monday Rawls’ body was found near 7400 Harrisburg Road and a warrant was issued for Davis’ arrest. He was taken into custody Tuesday morning, according to the police report.

This remains an active investigation.

CMPD: Missing Charlotte Woman Found Murdered, Boyfriend Charged - WCCB Charlotte's CW
Police say following an interview with detectives, Nicholas Davis, 21, was taken into custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and charged with 1st Degree Murder for his involvement in Rawls’ death.

Davis is charged with murder and is being held in the Mecklenburg County jail. He is also facing charges of injury to personal property and assault by pointing a gun pending from August 2020. It's not known if he has an attorney.
