The Jacksonville Police Department continues to search for missing and endangered 33 year old Derico T. Sanders II.

Sanders has been missing since Wednesday, November 7, 2024 at approximately 8:00 PM.

He was last seen in the area of Meadows Gates Apartments off Western Blvd. and was reported to be wearing a black zip up jacket, grey undershirt, grey sweatpants, and black shoes.

Sanders is also known to have some intellectual disabilities and takes medication, heightening the concern for his wellbeing.

Sanders has some intellectual disabilities and needs medicine for his seizures. Now, his friends and family are doing everything they can to find him.

He was last seen at Meadow’s Gate Apartments on Western Blvd. in Jacksonville.

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — A body found in a sediment trap off Gum Branch Road near the Jacksonville city limits was identified as Derico T. Sanders II.

The North Carolina State Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified the body that was found Dec. 11th.
