Eric Byers, 56, was last seen on Friday evening on Atlas Drive near Cindy Lane and Statesville Road. Police say his vehicle was found parked on the side of northbound I-85 just south of the weigh station near the Catawba River. Byers is described as a black male, 5′6″ tall and 180 lbs.

• Family members last saw/heard from EB during the evening of January 3.​
• He was last seen in the 3000 block of Atlas Drive in north Charlotte​
• EB's family found his vehicle.​
• He was reported missing Jan. 4 shortly before 2:45 p.m.​
• A search of the area included officers, K-9's, boats and CMPD's aviation unit (helicopter).​
