Casey Parsons: You have to understand about that. Along with that comes Medicaid, and I knew that was Erica's only way of going to the doctor if she became sick and needed to go to the doctor. So, if you cancel that too, you cancel her insurance that she has, and that was her only health insurance at all. And, I actually have the letter over there that tells about receiving that. And, there's two criterias for it- legal responsibility or financial responsibility.

Reporter: So, how did you use the money, then?

Casey Parsons: It- just put it in the bank, and just like we received it, and it's in- it's sitting in the bank. 'Cause-

Reporter: No one went to Irene, Nan?

Casey Parsons: No, we don't even know an address.

Casey Parsons: I still have her Medicaid card sitting here.

Reporter: How would she get-

Casey Parsons: If she needed that.

Reporter: - to the doctor?

Casey Parsons: She would have to call and do it. Now see, they did mention about treatment one time for her. And Nan, when we called her back, we went to see- we called to see how that went when she was at the ER, supposed to be, that night- um, she said she got her treated.

Reporter: This is up in Asheville?

Casey Parsons: Yes. And they- the detective said they called a hospital. The hospital me and my husband searched for and found was Mission's Hill, wasn't it? Hospital, that we assume that's where she went to. Um, but they won't give you any information over the phone. And, the detective said they was checking all that and checking it out.

I don't believe a word any member of the family says as far as I can throw them. Save the fake tears and the sob story. Where were the tears at any point before July 29th? At this point I honestly don't want to hear anything out of any of them unless it leads us to Erica.

Come on. Every single one of you reading this post would of done just about anything to ensure the safety of a child you have never met. Not one of them seemed to do anything for one in their own family.

I've been thinking the same thing, Sin. Why didn't someone report these bruises and the beatings they witnessed years ago?! It's one thing if the child protective services don't do anything about it, but it sounds to me like they never reported it, period.
Making this child live outside, like a dog?? Come on! That's cruel and inhuman! These family members all knew what was going on and did nothing to stop it. I have no sympathy for any of them.

There was a link to a report early in the frst thread where a relatitve commented underneath about being one of the many who reported the abuse of Erica only to have NOTHING done by the powers that be (dss). She went on to say how it was keeping her awake at night now how she couldn't help but feel she had let erica down. Someone else made the point that had she marched into the home herself and removed Erica she could have been in a lot of trouble...fwiw.

(Those comments have since been removed from under that story...maybe due to the investigation.)

They've gotta pay the lawyer somehow! PS... the add for the car: strange timing? YES... however, it's the same car that's been seen in the driveway numerous times on the news. If the police wanted to search the vehicles, they had every opportunity.

Very nice turn out for the vigil. I was so happy to see Erica's Bio Mom show up there, and Erica's Uncle, Scott Parsons was there, but especially happy to see members of the Bio Dad (Billy Dean Goodman) family showed up !!

I am wondering the same thing. Has anybody found that there actually is a J "Strawberry" J or a bio daughter of BDG named Kelly?

On the other hand, just because T.S. and BDG were acquainted in 2007 doesn't mean she is in anyway involved with the case. Strawberry could be a more recent girlfriend.

Where exactly has the quote of "the biological/paternal grandmother has been dead for 5 years" been coming from?? Its been well known from ACR from the 1st thread for a while now that the real grandmother died in July 2005, 8 years ago. Who came up with this 5 year term and who died in 2008 to give them that idea??
