Hey Dogs4- yeah those woods caught my eye there more so than the 'park' area...and the 'orphanage' road....

Yep that is what I wonder- was CP setting it up ...and Erica might be found around Asheville 'Oh no Nan did her in!' ( yes... I know- 'nan' most likely DOES NOT exist in any form)

Then the flip side, which could be deflection away from the actual location. Distancing herself from Erica's actual location.

Statistically mothers place a child closer to home, while fathers may go much further away....

I think LE can get cell records. But those prepaid ones? I dunno.

One thing I have been wondering about and find kind of odd is why has there been no mention of these "Strawberry" and "Kelly" people. All we have heard so far is them say that "Nan" does not exist and Carolyn confirmed that she did not introduce "Nan" but nothing confirming or denying the existence of "Strawberry" or "Kelly". In a past interview Casey had said she had a conversation with Carolyn where she said that she supposedly lived with "Strawberry" for 6 months and said something to the effect of "That b***h, if I know she's in on this I'm going to kill her". I would really like to know if they have tracked these people down, what they said and why there hasn't been any confirmation or denial of their existence and/or involvement. And if they do exist, why would Casey incorporate real people into her fictitious story and character "Nan". Just trying to explore all angles here....

I see CarP's return to Louisiana after LE talked with her as an indicator that they told her something, that the general public does not know, regarding her birthdaughter's whereabouts.

Agree. She probably has no reason to stay any longer. Also she may have been asked not to talk to the media about it or what they told her was upsetting and she wanted privacy. IMO this is so obvious that one would have to have an ulterior motive to think otherwise.

I wonder if & when LE is going to start searching away from the family home for Erica...I fear she is not alive.
One place that gave me heebies, was North Carrabus Park on Orphanage Rd in Kannopolis, and those woods

Just playing around with 'Biltmore'- any locals know what Rowan County's 'Biltmore'- esque place would be?? KWIM?[/QUOTE

I know nothing in Rowan County that would compare to Biltmore Estates.
In my opinion, North Cabarrus park is tiny but well used. I don't see anywhere a body would go undetected for long.
I saw someone saying in early posts about CP setting It up in case her body was found In the Carolina mountains. I think this too =\ How far back (20 months?) can LE request cell phone records? (think Elissa & Adam Baker)

Just curious and perhaps I missed something but what draws your attention to North Cabarrus Park? I was wondering because it is right up the road from my daughter's school. I have been there many times and it is small but I don't remember how "woodsy" it is. It very well could be....

North Cabarrus Park is on the border between Kannapolis and Concord. Unless you live near there or have some type of connection to that particular park, it is kind of out of the way for just someone "passing by". Thanks!

^ that's true, maybe CarP Does want to help preserve the investigation by not talking about it, and was asked not to and is honoring that request. She did come in from out of state and sadly it doesn't sound like there is a lot she can do to help find Erica, at this point.

I think CP fancies herself as calculating and sly, but I think her story is really backfiring. Maybe this Strawberry & Kelly have been interviewed and are also keeping a lid on it, in hopes of allowing the investigation to proceed.

Rowan County doesn't have anything that would equate to a "Biltmore" of sorts. The biggest (and pretty much only) attraction to Salisbury is a large park called Dan Nichols Park. It is a huge park with a petting zoo, carousel, train, a lot of picnic and camping areas (hmmm...) and multiple play grounds. It is huge and people "locally" choose this park for their day trips since it has so much to offer.

thank you Sellen- I was just looking at areas along the 85 corridor, say between Salisbury down to Kannopolis, and then over to Concord as it seems the Parsons have lived along in there and would know the area well. I need to refresh my memory on the previous known addresses, and see what areas might be familiar to them.

Oh I will have to go look up Dan Nichols- thank you

^I did. hmm interesting. And the peripheral roads.

I too think that the local LE treated it as a homicide case from THE beginning.
It is intriguing to think that the FBI is being more impartial ...
but you know the old investigative scenario of "good guy, bad guy" ?
Since local LE adopted the "bad guy" role and is trying to scare the info out of the PARSONS couple
... then the FBI could be taking the "good guy" role and
trying to get info out of them by appearing to be more helpful.

I don't think LE had much of a choice in how they treated the case from the beginning. Jamie came to them with the information that Erica had been killed and buried in the back yard from the get-go.

Have they dug up the back yard?

Yes, this and the questions of why Strawberry & Kelly haven't been confronted have already been asked and addressed in the previous threads. Nothing has been found in the back yard of their most recent residence. Strawberry & Kelly have not been officially found or at least if they have, LE has not released any information about it to the public or to MSM.

I believe it is actually Nicholas, not Nichols. I typed that wrong. If you take the exit off of 85 to go to the park, you have to drive through about 10 minutes of country and farms. There are so many places they could have put her if she is in fact deceased.

I am rather familiar with Kannapolis/Concord/Salisbury/Moorseville area. I have lived here for about 13 years. Just let me know if you have any questions or need clarification on location of things.

The only thing I've seen was that LE was in the back yard with probes. Never heard anything about actual digging though.

If you are looking for out of the way places the PARSONS are familiar with,
you may want to check out this link about a place in Boone, NC where they
may have vacationed in 2010 ... search for the word PARSONS on the page ...

Do we know this to actually be them? I'm asking because it says they are from Spring Hope which is near Raleigh. Have they lived there before?

Just a thought...Do we know if the patio in the back of the "current" house has always been there. If I had the addy, I could check the prior real estate listing. Just looking at areal pictures of the house, it caught my eye as a possibility...

If they probed and not dug up the back yard, it would explain why they didn't find anything as you can't probe concrete...Just throwing it all out there and maybe we can all help figure this thing out!

Why do you think that LE would have her come down to the station for that?

It seems to me like going to her would be more likely and appropriate if they were breaking bad news. That would be more appropriate if LE wanted to protect her privacy, not making her march past reporters. Also, wouldn't she want to stick around for possible funeral arrangements?

Investigators completed an intensive search of the Parsons' property, along the 200-block of Miller Chapel Road, late Wednesday night.

After digging in the back yard, members of the SBI and FBI spent several hours testing soil density, according to a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation.

It was early in the investigation that I heard this. It doesn't expressly say they dug up the entire back yard, but they did some digging, probing and used cadaver dogs, sent soil samples to be tested and still found nothing. Or at least they haven't released any results or made any arrests since this happened on August 14th, nearly a month ago, so we can assume they haven't found any evidence in this yard dig or search.

No I do not know it is them & I am not familiar with North Carolina.
In previous posts in this thread some messages were found with Casey using the name
"Parsonsbunch", so this is just another such message using that same name ...
that is why I said it MAY be them ... I have no way of verifying whether it is or not.
