I'm encouraged that LE have spoken to so many people and are following up on so many leads. For a while it seemed like they were begging for cooperation. They are still asking for camera footage though. I really hope they get what they need. One camera was all it took to catch Mollie Tibbetts' murderer. That one video showing the car was enough but it took a while to get. They just need people to turn in their videos, even if they don't think there is anything important on them. My thoughts and prayers go out to Hania's family. It must be so hard to even think of having a holiday with Hania still missing. My Thanksgiving dinner would be canceled if this was my daughter. I would want to spend the day searching or doing something, anything that I thought could bring her home. My heart breaks for them. :(
Worth noting also - in the Mollie Tibbetts case, that tape wasn’t new. LE had had it for quite some time and if I recall correctly they had even previously reviewed it. It’s entirely possible that LE in this case also already has the evidence they so desperately seek but have not yet recognized the significance.

Good point.

I hope the clue they need is in the evidence collected - they just need to get to it and recognize it.

Man, it's hard to know this perp is out there.

I woke up this morning hoping Hania would be home this Thanksgiving just like Sherri Papini's family said she'd be home for T'day and well, she was home. I know it's not the same situation at all but I can wish for it.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Let's give thanks for the good things that came from the bad this year and be thankful we've got our family and friends who are still with us.. and say a prayer for those that are missing a loved one today.

Thank you for reminding many of us how blessed and fortunate we are -- especially on this day.
And we have indeed seen some good things come from some bad this year. Let Hania's case be one of those. I hope she is warm and fed and unhurt -- that is a lot to hope for, but so many of us have it tonight.
Prayers and positive thoughts for her family tonight and all tomorrows.
Let a wonderful thing happen soon.

Prayers for Hania and her family. I’m sorry she’s not home surrounded by the love of her family today for Thanksgiving. I’ll continue to pray for answers for as long as it takes. Peace be with you Hania wherever you are sweet girl.

I see a cell phone in this picture. Was she on any social media?
A group of us have searched for any social media accounts and have found nothing....

She may be on Medicaid, they are now requiring photo identification for services in several states. Although, if she is a Legal Permanent resident, she would have a green card with a picture. So, maybe she is a citizen. Not that it matters either way.

Sad that she has not been found.

Also....In addition to serving as an identity document, the child’s photograph is stored in DMV’s database. If the child becomes missing, DMV can retrieve the image from the database and transmit it to law enforcement anywhere in the U. S. #PrayersforHania

Lumberton Police Department | 11/23/2018 10:39am (EST)

Agents and investigators have canvassed a number of areas of interest in Robeson County. We have visited some homes and businesses several times to try and make personal contact with people to obtain their surveillance video in an effort to narrow down exactly when and how the stolen SUV got from Rosewood Mobile Home Park to where it was found on Quincey Drive. We need any video from Robeson County, specifically along Highway 41/Elizabethtown Road and any side streets, especially along Popes Crossing Road, Wire Grass Road, and Lovett Road. Call the tip line at 910-272-5871.

From 11/21, but I didn't see it here (sorry if I overlooked it):

Hania Aguilar's family preparing to spend Thanksgiving with the teen missing
Hania Aguilar's family heads into the holiday season with a heavy heart -- the 13-year-old remains missing more than two weeks after being kidnapped from her yard. There are still no signs of her or her abductor.

On Wednesday, Hania's mother and loved ones attended a private service at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Red Springs.

"I wish I had information," Jones said. The FBI said it desperately needs information right now.

Although detectives say tips from the community are coming in, they want surveillance video. Authorities are expanding that request for video to all of Robeson County, including hunters with deer cameras.

Authorities want images in the area of Rosewood Mobile Home Park off Elizabethtown Road and Quincey Drive between Nov. 5 and 8, where Hania was snatched and the stolen getaway vehicle was found.

The community is keeping Hania's return home top of mind.

"That's my Thanksgiving prayer," said Jones. "I pray that she'll be all right."
Authorities have a number of leads that they are following.

As search for Hania Aguilar continues, FBI asks for all available surveillance video :: WRAL.com
Officials are requesting surveillance videos from anywhere in the county, but specifically along Highway 41/Elizabethtown Road and any side streets, especially along Popes Crossing Road, Wire Grass Road, and Lovett Road.

The agency said in a statement last week that they needed "every piece of video," including surveillance video from deer hunters or from households along that route.

Agents are now attempting to narrow down the details of how the SUV was taken from Rosewood Mobile Home Park, Aguilar's neighborhood, to Quincey Drive.

Law enforcement officials have followed over 800 leads and conducted over 400 in person interviews in an attempt to find her.

Federal authorities ask for video surveillance in connection with Lumberton kidnapping
On Friday afternoon, the FBI told media outlets that agents and investigators have canvassed a number of areas of interest in Robeson County.

"We have visited some homes and businesses several times to try and make personal contact with people to obtain their surveillance video in an effort to narrow down exactly when and how the stolen SUV got from Rosewood Mobile Home Park to where it was found on Quincey Drive," the FBI's news release said.

Authorities say they need any video from Robeson County, specifically along Highway 41/Elizabethtown Road and any side streets, especially along Popes Crossing Road, Wire Grass Road, and Lovett Road.

The FBI has conducted hundreds of interviews and followed up on nearly 1,000 leads, but Hania remains missing.

I'm wondering if businesses and residents looked at their own video surveillance footage and thought they didn't see anything of interest and just didn't bother to turn it over to LE/FBI. Problem is...a regular business or resident may not see anything they think would help but LE/FBI could spot things that regular ppl do not think is important. It would be nice for EVERYONE just to turn over all of their footage before it's erased/overwritten. JMO

Exactly. Leave it to LE to know what to look for. Even video of an empty road can provide info - it shows where the car or pedestrian wasn't....which means the car/pedestrian was somewhere else at that time.

Just turn it over, if you got it!

I think it’s very odd that they have visited several homes and businesses, attempting to make personal contact and unable to do so. Why would they be deliberately hiding from LE? I would be pissed if one person withheld possible evidence that would find my loved one much less several!

I think the kidnapping was not pre-planned. More likely someone was walking by that seen the opportunity to steal a SUV with the motor running sitting on a dark morning. Hanna just happened to be already sitting inside the running SUV or standing in front of the drivers door.
Viewing the person seen walking in the
Security camera video from along the routes between Rosewood Mobile Home Park on Elizabethtown Road and Quincy Drive south of Lumberton he seems to be walking casual. Probably going to an address or coming from somewhere close to Hanna’s house. He might live close by or going/leaving a friends address. There could also be a homeless camp along that route.
I think it might be worth viewing Security Videos a month before the date to see if that same person can be seen maybe in a bettter video.

I think video images need to be requested to view up to a month BEFORE the kidnapping also.

I hope LE is still talking to the 8-year-old sister that witnessed the abduction, not just about the actual abduction but the days leading up to it and the days that followed it. Elizabeth Smart's little sister could've cracked the case way earlier if people actually had worked with her and listened to her.
The thing about LE asking for more CCTV footage probably means that they do have him on camera and want more footage to understand where he was going to and, hopefully, get to where Hania was taken to.

Speaking from personal experience here--the same thing would be happening in the poor parts of Boston, or the rural area where I grew up. People are afraid of retaliation from the criminals and know the police can't protect them. When you live in a poor area, you assume they don't want to protect you. If you talk to the police on this case, you might talk to them again when it's a drug case, so you're marked as a potential or actual informant. And you also assume that if there's anything the police can get you for while they're looking for video, you'll be in jail before the murderers.

If this was a crime of convenience, IMO, Hania would have been found by now. Seems too planned out. Either LE has nothing or quietly building a case against someone. Also, read recently individuals involved in human trafficking have a lot of security cameras on properties. Also hope the 8 y/o witness has recalled correctly all she can.
