Found Deceased NC - Heather Marie Williams, 25, limited speech and use of arm & leg, got into a car with an unknown person, Fayetteville, 4 Jan 2025 *Arrest*

She used to be very coherent, per her oldest Facebook. It appears she had some sort of accident that not only physically changed her, but also mentally.

@Lusitana Heather was involved in an automobile accident according to her FB. Brain swelling caused her disabilities. I'm assuming this is also why she has an indentation on her forehead.

She also attempted to commit suicide by shooting herself in the stomach. Also assuming this is why she has the scar on her abdominal.

Can someone explain why the marriage licence is from SC when they are both from NC, and why it seems signed by the same person (for him and her, same handwriting).

I grew up about 35 miles from Fayetteville, but I do not live in that area now.

Parts of Fayetteville can be rough (as many towns are these days). It is near a fairly large army post.

I don't mean to be cryptic, but her FB is unfathomably sad, with layers and layers (and layers) of info. You kind of have to scroll through to believe it.

She references a car accident and is frequently seen in photos wearing a helmet. However, there's also a post from her old pre-TBI FB (written by someone else?) that says she tried to commit suicide by shooting herself in the stomach. She seems to have the corresponding scar. Again, never seen anything like her social media.

She has a TBI and a Bipolar Dx, very little is going to make sense, JMO.

I’ve scanned her photos, and there are photos that show her with a trach - appears to maybe be after her accident. Additional photos from Dec 2023 appear to be minimizing some of the scarring? I may be misreading this, as I am not in a medical field. After seeing these other photos, I’m less concerned about what it may mean? Does not seem recent

ETA that it also could be a previous incidence of self harm. If I recall correctly, the documents Knox referenced earlier stated there was more than one self harm attempt. Photos dated 12/3/23 show the same markings

From the above FB link from @Knox , the 12/16/23 post confirms marriage, but it is clearly not posted by Heather, as her typical aphasic hallmarks are not present. FYI, as a trigger warning, the posts in this particular FB are extremely alarming.

Her post from 12/28/23 (and the comments) is incredibly scary.
Also, regarding the scars on her neck, she posted old pictures of herself on that FB where she had a trach, but there's clearly a second scar above the trach scar that, IMO, looks like it was intentionally inflicted. She also confirms her suicide attempt was in 2020.

WOW! Great eye/catch! It sure looks to me like I think it looks to you. I’m not sure if I can say it here because it could be viewed as me being negative about a possible victim. I don’t mean anything negative about her in any way. Every one of us could potentially be a moment away from a life-altering event (not a good one) - whether it be from trauma (physical, sexual, emotional/mental, etc), illness, tragedy, etc - and each of us will react differently.

If the mark is what I feel it appears to be, then it is most likely from trauma - whether self-inflicted or as a victim of an assault. Either way, she deserves sympathy and compassion. I cannot imagine what it must be like to have been a young, independent adult with a lifetime ahead of her one moment, to being unable to speak the words that I am thinking and trying to say and also unable to walk like a “typical” young woman. Even worse, my brain is still functioning in such a way that I KNOW what I am unable to do and how this has forever changed my life and the lives of my loved ones. IIRC there was mention of a self-inflicted GSW to the abdomen? If so, I hope that she can be found safe and get the help that could change her life in a positive way.

Thanks for confirming. I was taken aback for a moment, it’s a powerful visual. This is one of the most disturbing cases. Sad, it’s not as if she is making intentionally bad choices. Feel terrible for her family as well, can’t begin to imagine how terrifying this journey is.

Holding out hope she will be found and returned to safety.

I have so many questions.

Was Heather married to this guy BEFORE her accident or after? Conversely, did she even know him before the accident? How did they meet?

Multiple suicide attempts, physical issues, and clearly mental health concerns really have me on high alert for Heather.

Extraordinarily worried for Heather and what might the outcome look like.
