ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WITN) A sheriff's office is hoping to drum up new leads in a cold case surrounding a missing woman.

Onslow County deputies responded back in May of 2017 for a welfare check on 65-year-old Diana Critcher.

The caller, who officials say was the victim's daughter-in-law, stated that no one had heard or seen from Critcher since all the way back in 2011.

Critcher's last known address was 2475 Highway 172 in Sneads Ferry.

Deputies correct name of woman reported missing since 2011

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – On Wednesday, the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office issued a correction to the name of a woman reported missing since 2011.

OCSO investigators say they are asking for the public’s help to find Hilda Diana Critcher, who also goes by Diane, who was initially reported missing after deputies responded to a call for a welfare check at her home in May 2017.

She was very known to be disconnected from family for very extensive amounts of time. Still very odd. I’m near the county and looking into it, but can’t even find a last known whereabouts

I think this is about her, just about Diana H. Critcher and her husband Philip Critcher getting a deed transfer.

(I think her name is Diana Hilda Critcher, not the other way around, bc there's also a lot of public records for Diana Hilda Critcher and nothing for Hilda Diana Critcher)

Details of Disappearance​

Critcher's daughter-in-law asked police to perform a welfare check on her in May 2017. She stated no one had seen or heard from Critcher since sometime in 2011. Her last known address was in the 2400 block of Highway 172 in Sneads Ferry, South Carolina. She had been known to be out of touch for extended time periods, which is why no one reported her missing before then.

Investigators have been unable to locate Critcher. The circumstances of her disappearance are unclear.
