[h=1]Iredelll County Sheriff’s Office Seeking Assistance Identifying Body Found In Lake Norman[/h]

Homeowners and Fishermen alerted authorities to something suspicious floating in a Lake Norman cove around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Officials say the man is either white or hispanic, between 20 and 50 years old, and about six feet tall.
He is described as having long dark hair and was wearing a dark colored tee shirt with green swimming trunks.

The cause of death is unknown and the man’s death is being treated as a drowning.

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. -- Following an autopsy, Iredell County Sheriff's Office has identified a body found in Lake Norman over the weekend and ruled the incident an accidental drowning.

Medical examiner say the body of Michael Herran, 29, who has an address in South Charlotte but also has connections to a residence near Lake Norman, was found Saturday morning in the lake.
