Bumping for Jalesa ( I love her name. If my son was a girl he would have been Jelena which is the Yugoslavian version of Helena... and pronounced with the H rather than J. )

Despite this month marking the 1 year anniversary of Jalesa's disappearance her case does not appear on NamUs or Charley Project.

Praying for answers in your case Jalesa.

I know this question is probably answered somewhere but what makes a case qualify for NamUs or Charley Project?

I am wondering why Jalesa would NOT be listed somewhere. She IS missing. I have noticed in my search today on WS that several others are not listed either and that made me ask the question.

BTW Jalesa I wonder where you are very often....I pray you let us now where you are soon....

SCOTLAND NECK — One year to the day after the mysterious disappearance of 18-year-old Jalesa Reynolds, Scotland Neck Police Chief Joe Williams announced in a press conference Tuesday there is no there is no new news in the Reynolds case.

Williams did say, after a year with no activity from Williams, police are more inclined to believe Reynolds is dead instead of just missing. We are probably leaning in that direction said Williams, adding foul play is suspected.
..............
Williams said authorities are talking with several persons of interest. He said he was not prepared to go into further detail on that issue.

He said he hopes for a breakthrough in coming months.

Suspect in teen's disappearances says he's being harassed

A Scotland Neck man whom detectives are calling a suspect in a local girl's disappearance more than a year ago says Halifax County sheriff's investigators have been harassing him

Still Listed on Charley, I do find the Gag order kind of strange for a missing person

Searchers have spent the past two days looking for possible remains of a Scotland Neck teen who has been missing for more than 2 1/2-years.

Scotland Neck Police Chief Joe Williams tells WITN they've been searching the area around Cemetery Road since Wednesday for Jalesa Reynolds. They're being asisted by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Chief Williams says the center brought in special dogs to be able to search for remains, as well as a special response team from Johnston County to map the area.

Crews will be back out tomorrow and plan to drain a small pond on Salvia Lane which is off of Cemetery Road.

Reynolds, who was 18-years-old when she disappeared in February 2010, was last seen at the library in Scotland Neck, and police say she later logged onto her Facebook account at the home of a registered sex offender on Cemetery Road. Police seized a computer from that individuals home, but have never charged the man in connection with the girl's disappearance.

“This case is ongoing,” Williams said, adding police are always looking for new leads.
Williams said the team was remapping the area, looking for any clues that might have been missed.
They are also draining a nearby pond this morning, although rain is hampering efforts.
“The dogs were interested in the area around the pond,” Williams said, but no evidence had been uncovered thus far.
Reynolds, and 18-year-old black female, was last seen Feb. 22, 2010. She was reportedly at Scotland Neck Library around 11 a.m. and police traced Reynolds Internet activities to a house on Cemetery Road that afternoon where they believe she used the computer. There has been no sign of her since.
The man who owns the residence where Reynolds accessed the computer is a person of interest, according to investigators.
