Harnett County sheriff asks for help finding missing man

Jamelle Cornelius Brown, 30, of Cameron was last seen in his house late Saturday night. The release said he returned to work on NC-87, which isn't far from his home, to get his keys before showering and going to bed. The family verified that the front door opened and closed at 11:16 p.m. that night.

Brown was scheduled to be at work by 7:30 a.m. Sunday, but didn't show up.

A Silver Alert has been issued.

The release said deputies have checked jails, hospitals, and have run a hard canvas throughout Brown's neighborhood. Blood hounds have been in use, too.

No recent arrests or traffic tickets though he has quite a history in his youth. Looks like he was getting his life on a good path. I hope he is found.

Brown was last seen about 10 p.m. Saturday when he left his home to go to his workplace to get keys, a Sheriff’s Office release said.

He failed to report for work at 7:30 a.m. Monday and was reported missing the same day.

Authorities say they’ve checked area jails and hospitals and used bloodhounds to search Brown’s neighborhood.

Brown is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black basketball shorts trimmed in red.

Family desperate to find missing Harnett County man before the holidays

[Brown's dad J] said his son is bipolar and schizophrenic but they didn't notice anything out of the ordinary before his disappearance.

"He would always call and answer out texts," he said. "That's what makes it so strange that he left out with no ID card, no money, no phone charger. "

On Nov. 24, Brown had reportedly returned to his job site on NC 87, which is not far from his home, to retrieve keys before he showered and went to bed.

His employer noticed that he was missing around 5 a.m. on Nov. 26.

Harnett County dad hopes son missing nearly a month makes it home for Christmas

Christmas Day will be a month since Jamelle Brown went missing.

What happened to the 30-year-old Harnett County man is still a mystery.

Now, all James Brown wants for Christmas is for his son to come home.

Harnett County body found by landscaping crew identified as man missing since November

Jamelle C. Brown's body was found off Centennial Parkway in Cameron. "There is no evidence of foul play nor is foul play suspected," a press release read.
