Yes I agree , I don't understand why she didn't make the call . Especially when Uncle Mike says both Tom AND Sharon were awoken by Molly screaming . He goes on to explain a bitter battle ensued and explains about the weight difference between Jason and Tom . Yet Tom doesn't receive ANY INJURIES. He then asks people to donate to a PayPal account for their legal bills even though they have openly criticised Jasons family for doing so . Double standards for this fine family . The reason I keep suggesting that we all read Keith Maginn's book is that it differentiates between life in a rocky, but normal relationship, vs life with someone with a severe form of bipolar disease and prescription drug related substance abuse problems. It's stunning in its revelations! This is not like fighting with a normal person over the usual stresses. Or even dealing with a cruel but consistent spouse. This is life in a chaotic emotional circle...changing from euphoria, excess, insomnia, risk-talking, sexual hyper activity...to days of a woman, balled up and sobbing, threatening suicide..claiming a compliment is a slur...and you can NOT comfort her. Days of this...till Miss Happy Happy is back...thinking she can rule the world and only needs a baby, not medications.

Unless you read this...which if this book written years before the crime...comes in...is a death knell to the Defense...you think of this like a normal rocky marriage. That's like thinking a freckle is like a malignant melanoma.

I know that some bipolar sufferers do well on a good combo of medications. Obviously many med combinations were tried for her. Whether she stopped them, her body chemistry changed, she mixed too much with the daiquiris described in court documents, or she is just a severe case, I have no idea. But the life with her, written and described years ago, by a man who loved her, is a shocker.

Thanks for the extracts....it truly is eye opening and so very tragically sad at the same time. Molly obviously was somebody people wanted to love, that just makes Jason's devastation all the harder. (Also on a sidenote - love the cushion!)

Another bombshell!

So Uncle Mike, raising money for the family, claims this was a fair fight. This huge powerful 270lb. man, The Hulk, was choking his wife and ...while being choked...MM somehow manages to scream so loudly, that down in the basement, BOTH her parents awake.

Okay.

So now, hearing these screams, what do the parents do? Well, Tom gets a weapon, a bat. But, but, Sharon just stays downstairs. Her daughter's life is on the line, only her skinny old husband is there to help, and she does not call the police or 911?

Really?

Okay, now Tom runs upstatirs with the bat, and lucky this 270 lb man is a very inefficient strangler...because Tom has time to grab a bat, run up a flight of stairs and enter the room. What next? Well, Jason , hearing someone enter the room, decides to announce his intentions "I'M going to kill HER." Not "you"...."her." So he knows Tom is there.

Now Tom slugs him with the bat, shattering his skull. Apparently, Jason pops right back up. The daughter, now free, runs to get the brick that we all keep on our bedside tables. This skinny old man and his "strangled" daughter then manage to land every blow, over and over, head, legs, arms, face, broken nose...but then "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee." The Hulk can't even get a scratch...a bruise...on either of them his hands show only defensive marks. But they keep battering...Jason's brain tissue sticking to the furniture and the walls.

Meanwhile, back in the basement, Sharon is wondering how things are going upstairs...

This is an incredible piece for the Prosecution. Because, while they of the $750,000 beach house, $150,000 condo, and $400,000 Tennesse home, are begging for donations...the "fine family" is smearing the Corbetts who had to bear countless expenses because of the Marten family murder!

This lays out the complete description of what the Martens CLAIM happened. Nothing more or less. They cannot embellish. Uncle Mike in his PayPal GreedGrab...tells all.

P.S. Probably the defense lawyers had the vapors and made him take it down. Loving those screen shots!

The little amount of facts I have gleaned tells me MM did 100% of the premeditated "let me go grab a bat and hide it" brutal murder then "FBI protects it's own" dad white knight arrives, quickly assesses the scene, put his fingerprints on said bat, asked his daughter to tell LE dad arrived to protect his daughter, then dials 911. I think the million dollar question is where was mom and what was she doing? Mom may not be relevant but I am guessing she wasn't snoring or watching old Johnny Carson reruns

But, for all we know, either Sharon or Tom could also be psychopaths, or even both.. anything is possible until we see the photographs from the murder room.. and the entire house, for that matter...

Great post...and I'm with you. If my husband had run up those stairs and my daughter was screaming...I'd be dialing 911 and running upstairs at the same time!

Defense attorneys like wiggle room. They are probably praying no one has any record of this. It has Sharon awake, doing nothing, not summoning police. It emphasizes the difference in weight and size between Jason and his killers. It boxes in the description of what was occurring.

But Uncle Mike did not know what the autopsy would show about the overkill or the police report would show about lack of injuries. In his hurry to make some money on this, he was "impulsive."

I didn't actually see the page, I saw chatter about it on facebook and then it was gone when I looked for it. I'm not entirely sure when it was up. Possibly before the charges were brought, but not sure.

I can't see Sharon Martens doing anything except what Thomas Martens told her to do in a situation like this...and my guess is she tended to the children who I doubt slept through it...I think she probably heard things and didn't necessarily see anything ... IMO
