According to the facts to establish probably cause in the search warrants it is stated "a deceased male, identified as Jason Paul Corbett, was found lying inside the residence in the master bedroom on the main level of the home".

Although, its worth wondering, as they had a spare room, why were TM and SM sleeping in the basement?

All IMO

When I hear basement, I immediately think below ground level but I understand that basement in the USA is often spoken about as being ground level. It gets confusing when terms mean different to different people.

Remember Molly's clothes were in an upstairs room.. this was reported when she removed things from the house.. Do you remember, a list had to be furnished to the courts of the exact contents of every room, what she took? So 2 children upstairs.. 3rd bedroom upstairs.. master bedroom was indeed on ground floor and guest suite was in the basement. Master bedroom was next to kitchen. Thats what I remember from old threads.. I think its accurate.. we discussed it a lot while theorising about autopsy stomach contents.. one speculation was that he awoke, went to kitchen , opened fridge and chewed some greens before heading back to bed in his own separate room.. also speculation that that was when he was attacked.. theorising.. I dont recall which thread..

Hi folks, just recently discovered this site and have been trying to follow this case a little bit over the last couple of years. I'm a little confused - I thought MM's parent's were sleeping in a basement bedroom? But the list of items taken above mentions 2 guest rooms - one on the main level and one upstairs. But there is a basement bathroom - so was there a third guest room in the basement?

There were two weapons used so in my mind two culprits. You need both hands to use a baseball bat. If tom is going to throw himself on his sword and say it was all him, he will have to say he put down one weapon and picked up the other. He can't admit to that surely.. I have often wondered if molly struck Jason first, Jason was trying to disarm her when tom came in and mis interpreted what he saw.... the rest is tragic beyond any words. My pity for jasons family is limitless. He and his character will be on trial along with the other two and he can't defend himself.

Hi Stephen, hope all is well with you. Just had a look at that photo and the other ones in the Gallery. It suggests that the master bedroom was in the front of the house, that is if they kept it like that anyway. It suggests that the master bedroom is the bay window part at the left at the front on ground floor level. Or maybe that was the guest bedroom, which it probable is due to the size. If it is, there is no picture of Master Bedroom in the gallery so I would guess that it is on the top level at the top of those stairs at the back as the other rooms can sort of be identified. If it is there, it would give easy access to the paving area at the back of the house.

We have an expression here...walk-out basement. This refers to a home built on a slope as Jason's home was..This means the rooms on that lower level have a proper ceiling height and proper windows. From the inside of the house, they do not appear like windowless, basement rooms. See the lower level, windows under the deck...those are probably where the guest suite was located.

As far as the Master bedroom goes, I'm not sure what room that was...but the real estate page had two pictures of it...the other bedrooms only one. You can see in picture five that it opens off the family room. If Jason was killed in mainfloor bedroom, I think that's it....unless there are two main floor bedrooms. Look at the windows in all these pictures. You can start to match things up.

But more importantly, look at the size of the bedrooms with furniture. . Imagine three people in a donnybrook. Just no escape. What a perfect spot for a beat down.

And yet no bruises or marks on the other two...didn't even bump into furniture, get pushed to a wall..if Jason was an equal participant?

well done remembering the lists.
I think I heard the basement had been renovated since Jason purchased the house, I cannot recall if I read it or heard it, so unable to verify.. It may have been discussed in an earlier thread.
The photographs in the link Stephen found were dated 2011.. before Jason bought the house.
But when we first looked at them we thought the rooms looked tiny and we even wondered whether the interior was from any old house... though the exterior is congruent.. Rooms look too small.
Possibly no furniture had been removed from the basement and it had already been emptied of personal belongings. Basement bedroom was referred to in most media reports..

Study the windows and we can get a sense of the layout. I believe the first room the family room with the fireplace is next to the kitchen dining. This is the room we see from picture 5...through the kitchen pass through. Notice that the staircase goes up from this room, in one of the pictures we can see the banister on the right.

That bedroom, whose windows match the front of the house...which I believe may be the one Jason died in...is right off that family room. (Picture 5) So someone would come down the stairs into that room and be right at the entrance to that bedroom. At least it looks that way to me.

We can get some idea of the floor plan from matching the windows to the exterior photo.

In the picture of the exterior, look st the upper deck...you can see the back of the fireplace between the two windows. This is the fireplace in the first photo...at the back of the house.

Also in pix 5, you can see on the Left where the staircase goes up. The kitchen and family room are in the back. That bedroom that opens off of the family room is in the front, at ground level.

So i went searching back through the old threads to try to find this house plan which I could remember discussing previously. Found it, it wasn't a plan for 160 Panther Creek but a plan from the builders who had built the houses in the area. It was posted by SearchinGirl and is located at post 754, page 51 of the second thread.

All IMO

Unless there are two downstairs bedrooms your right it is on the second level.
She took the bed and matress from the master bedroom. Chills [emoji21]

This would indicate that the Master is in the second floor. The guest room is in "main level." So Jason was sleeping in the guest too . She was in the Master upstairs.

I think the.question is...what did she leave? Anything? The "Greed Grab" revisited.

There was a second page indicating that Molly also had clothes in an upstairs bedroom. we speculated it may have indicated that Jason was sleeping alone in the master bedroom beside the kitchen.. etc etc etc..
I imagine we will know soon enough

Never spotted the bed before, like who would want it, Want to look at it. If there was splatters on the walls surely there was splatters on that too, everywhere.

Not worth thinking about

I'm shocked Stmarysmeade, the bed from the room her husband was killed in? What's up with that picture?

Thought she was cold but this is chilling imo

I don't know if I posted the question before, but do you think a forensic accountant will be called to testify? RE financial motive

Are these common in cases in US?

If financial abuse comes up in trial, I will cry, the house, the holidays, cruises, weekends away, parties, clothes, beauty,

One of those DOH moments when you wished you hadn't shared the material things you have on social media imo.

Here is the message I take from The Greed Grab. Molly had no job, brought no money into the marriage. But this is a woman who has a fixation with ...what she perceives to be rightfull hers...her "possessions." Even the bed in the room where she killed her husband. "THis is all mine!" Most wives would not even want the bed in a divorce!
Imagine what someone with this strange personality disorder would have been feeling if she faced Jason being able to move back to Ireland without her?

I think this ties in with her weird FB posts about the children happily getting ready for school, having ice cream...as if their Father was expendable. Well he was, to Molly...this way she had the kids, the money and the stuff. Now would everyone please leave her alone so she could live happily ever after.

Am I correct in thinking that this list came from MM via her lawyer? If so, then I suspect that the "master bedroom" furniture referred to here is from the upstairs bedroom that they (MM & Jason) appear to have designated the Master bedroom and she only removed painting and clothing from the "guest room main level" which everyone else would normally refer to as the Master bedroom.... just my opinion.
