Jason and the children went there before the marriage and I believe Molly went herself the first year . Sharon visited twice . IMO the prescriptions could have been filled during these times .

That's why so much that has been asserted needs to be verified in order to be considered true. Im confused about when that happened? Was it in Ireland when she was working as the Nanny? Or a visit back there after she and Jason got married? I'm not at all saying it didn't happen, but if MM denies being prescribed it, then where did it come from? And if Molly didn't tell Jason about being bipolar until they moved to the states, why didn't Tracey tell Jason prior to that? I have to think the lithium observation, as well as drinking all day and driving the kids around, She would say something to Jason? And then, did Jason say anything about it to Molly? IMO

I understand it was during one of their visits back, so after they were married. Stephan posted the excerpt a few pages back I think. I agree verification will prove crucial in this trial IMO.

Reading back over arvhives, forgot about all this in the affadavits.

A family friend is alleged to have seen her engage in self-harming behaviour, "such as hitting herself while curled up in a ball".

She yanked him up under her arm and with some force brought him into the kitchen. And she turned on the faucet... and put him under the tap where the water was running over his face," Mrs Lynch alleged. "Jason ran in to try and intervene and Molly pushed him away. We were all shouting at her to stop. And she was shouting: 'Now you'll think twice about splashing water on me'."

The following year, during a holiday in Co Clare, it was claimed Ms Martens told the youngster to paddle his surf board into an unsafe zone in the water. "She said he needed to learn a lesson," Mrs Lynch testified. On a further occasion it is alleged she was seen pulling the boy out of his bed while he was asleep "with an expression of utter rage" on her face.

One document said Ms Martens had told many of her friends in the US she had been penpals with Mr Corbett's first wife Mags, who died suddenly in 2006.

Mrs Lynch said she "became aware of this lie" when she attended her brother's wedding to Ms Martens, his family's former au pair, in 2011.

I suspect that we have some new members here at WS that actually knew Jason and know the extended Corbett family. What a testimony it has been to Jason's stellar character and the love that exists for the Corbetts in their community, to see the huge loyal support on J4J.

Not a new friend's name here and there from some organization...but hundreds and hundreds of names, posts, letters, pictures from the people that knew Jason as a son, brother, husband, father and friend, and the testimonials from his first wife's family. It has been emotionally overwhelming and yet impressive!

Where was this Jason/ beast that the Martens invented after they murdered him? How could he live almost 40 years and acquire so much love and respect from so, so many people...and they never have seen the crack in his character?

I don't know who authors that FB website, but day by day for more than 2 years, this person has posted a daily tribute to Jason and comfort to his family. I'm sure this person has a busy life as we all have...but Jason's memory is so strong that never a day was missed. Thats true devotion. And it tells us something about Jason...a man who inspired that daily devotion! What a tribute to the truth!

Who comes out of Mollys past? Only Keith Maginn and her family...and some cause-oriented supporters of DV. Where are the anecdotes of joyous times with her asa teen, as a child, incollege? Occasionally something involving the kids in NC. is mentioned. But it's as if she never existed before she married Jason. His friends post on J4J about their happy schooldays and what a gentle loving child and young man he was. Where are Molly's classmates, college friends?

Anyway, for those posting here who knew Jason...you have the sincere sympathy of many of us. We know the days ahead will be very hard for you. WS is a very thoughtful and well designed site...it affords all of us the use of an ignore feature. Please use it if some comments become intolerable or painful. It's going to be a tough time.

This week we will hear how the Martens destroyed Jason's body; next week they will attempt to destroy his reputation.

Would she need to supply a PPS number to sign up with a doctor? It's been a very long time since I lived in Ireland, so much has changed.

I think nowadays you do need to provide one but not sure of back over ten years ago , perhaps not, as things were a bit more lax, as I myself are no longer in Ireland but I would have thought she would have been allocated a pps number on foot of her work visa being granted. However if KMs assertions are to be believed, that she arrived in Ireland three weeks after leaving a psych ward then I don't believe she had a work visa on arrival, perhaps travelled on the 90 day waiver and went home and went back and then regularised her work visa position as it can take several months to be approved for a work visa. Anyway that's neither here nor there , doubt it will be an issue in the trial but if the prosecution bring it up, I would think her very expensive legal team will have this covered!

Hopefully, she didn't say why they dismissed the last potential juror. Guess we will have to see how quickly they can question the next one.

The admin on the jfj page have played such an important role . Not only keeping us updated, but also leaving us look into Jason's life and the man he was . Jason's family should be so proud of that page it brings light into an otherwise dark situation. Day after day they work tirelessly often intervening in situations that shouldn't really matter... Jason would be proud that his legacy is shown in such a positive manner. The page is full of all nationalities and while some have been portraying this as Ireland Vs USA nothing could be further from the truth. You only need to take one look at the page to see that

I wonder what the situation was for medical treatment for Molly in Ireland. Did she have medical insurance? I would think it might be hard to get with a pre existing condition. If she was still on her parents' insurance, would it cover here when outside of the US? Who prescribed the Lithium while she was living in Ireland?

If she was leaving it around the house then Jason must have been aware that she was being treated for mental health issues.

I guess all this wil be clarified at the trial.

I think it would have been after they married and visited Ireland staying with Tracey. When she was a nanny Jason had his own house which was sold when he left I assume. It could also have happened in NC.

In submissions to Judge Lee, it was claimed the operator will say the former FBI agent was "surprisingly calm" and "was not out of breath."
The operator will, it was alleged, claim that this was not normal for how callers in such circumstances tend to sound, either being "very upset" or "excited."

It has emerged that the prosecution's first witness will be the 911 emergency services operator in Davidson County who took the call from Thomas Martens in the early hours of August 2, 2015 about the circumstances in which Mr Corbett was injured.

The entire transcript of the 911 call will be entered into evidence.


However, the two defence teams have now objected to supplementary prosecution submissions as to how the female 911 operator perceived Mr Martens to be during the call.
In submissions to Judge Lee, it was claimed the operator will say the former FBI agent was "surprisingly calm" and "was not out of breath."


The operator will, it was alleged, claim that this was not normal for how callers in such circumstances tend to sound, either being "very upset" or "excited."
Judge Lee must now rule on whether such opinion-based evidence will be allowed.


Mr Corbett was found dead at his Panther Creek home in North Carolina in the early hours of August 2, 2015.


He had suffered extensive head injuries in the blood-spattered upstairs bedroom of his luxury property.


These were apparently inflicted by a baseball bat and a stone paving brick.
