The children were Irish citizens. Would a US court have any say in it? This is presuming that JC is still alive.

NC law states that a step parent can gain custody of children within a marriage if domestic violence can be proven.

My guess is that when she went to a lawyer to discuss divorce she attained this information.

She then set the scene, involving Neeves in her fabricated story. We all know that Neeves has a huge interest in DM violence, having written a thesis on it, (You can find it on Google) all the while pressuring Jason to allow her to adopt the children just in case.

I'm thinking that she decided to run with it anyway after Jason's murder, not knowing that he had already written a will.

Two head-shaped blood imprints on the wall of the bedroom were found to be at a relatively low level.

Furthermore, substantial quantities of blood were on the bedroom skirting board and on an electrical socket located around 30cm off the floor.

Which means he was already on the way down. Explain self defence now? Surely the poor man was already incapacitated?

From what I've learnt over this past 2 years about this Martens family is their "fine people" line is nothing but a sham . Their sense of superiority and lack of empathy IMO will not be pleasing to the jurors after all Jason's family did nothing

Lt Young said that he noted that blood spatter on the canister of the vacuum cleaner was ‘moving from left to right horizontally, as if it was lying down’ when it connected with the object. However, pictures from the scene showed the vacuum cleaner in an upright position.‘It has now been stood up,’ the witness told the court.

During Lt Young’s evidence, prosecutors started to lay the foundations for their argument that the scene was staged or altered to tie in with the defendants’ claim that a violent argument took place. Sources close to the investigation have said that the State will show, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the scene inside the room, including the situation of certain objects, does not correlate with the defendants’ version of events. A blood spatter expert will focus on blood impact patterns, some reaching five foot up the walls, that show excessive force was used.

I suspect they will say she pushed him to "get him away"from her father and he struck his head off the paver. This will help them tie in with their rushed 40 sec call to the corbetts to say Jason was dead cos MM pushed him. It will also be their attempt to account for the terrible hinge fracture and possibly the low marks on the wall? That being the case the "class project" paver would have to have been on the floor (door stop?) which makes no sense. I am hoping that that experts employed by the prosecution will be able to rubbish all of this. If I am right it will be an extraordinary claim given little miss mollys size and Jason's size.

The blood spatter analysts are up next week. So the jury will get a blow by blow account of what happened.

To me, their treatment of the Corbett Lynch family, is more evidence of their guilt. They cannot allow themselves to admit that Jason's life mattered. That's how they live with what they have done. They wanted to just go on with their own lives, taking all that had been Jason's...his hard-earned money, his home, and his children...making it clear that Jason himself was easily expendable. The love that Corbett Lynch family had for Jason was an imposition to their desire to just move on. It was annoying. And it was a threat.

Those FB posts about how happy the children were, getting ready for school! See, no harm done!

There is insensitivity and then there is cruelty like this. It's a whole further dimension. It tells us so much about this Martens family. When they were killing Jason, they were killing a roach. They don't think it should have mattered to anyone. They, in their arrogance, have been "put upon" ever since.

Think how greedily they went after Jason's possessions in the Greed Grab that followed. Anything they could use or sell, even the murder bed. Another teachable moment about the Martens family.

"He fell."

Here's what people of "integrity" would have done IF the defense story was true.

"Tracey, I have some terrible news. Jason and Molly were drinking with neighbors last night. He took some of her sleeping medication. He had a terrible reaction...became aggressive with Molly. Tom got involved and it was a real donnybrook. There was an awful result that horrifies all of us.

He's gone.

But, with their guilt and knowledge of overkill and execution, they could not do any of that. They stuck to their very organized plan.

Vacuum mentioned in every report over weekend. They seem to be suggesting they have a large amount of blood evidence to prove it was staged in the room so I suggest the vacuum has more of a story to tell looking forward to hearing if the blood on it was the driest they found in room whether it had mm fingerprints on it in blood - would support the fact it was her that moved it does the blood on it reflect that Jason lay low near it and was hit? Mom2 did mention it may have been a place Jason lay near due to large pool of blood on cord.

Frizby I just saw you asked if we knew for sure it was the house phone on the first sheet of the dispatch post it says the number is 336 the rest is blocked out . So it must be the landline that was used for the 911 call . So who was Tom ringing at 3.25 am on a mobile .

The witness said when he arrived at the scene Tom Martens was standing at the front of the house on his mobile phone and pointed them in the direction of the master bedroom.

Yes everything seems to be pointing to him being on another call. Wonder if this was his phone and if they got phone records for said phone. Would be interesting to find out when this call started if indeed it was a separate call.

Personally I can't get a grip on it at all your posts are the only glimpse I have inside court and they prompt discussion. It's also great that we can make reference to them
