The jail mugshots are up...if anyone can figure out how to access the website, I'm stumped!
Does anyone know if the introduction of the motion under seal requesting psychiatric help for Molly will be mandated now as it's part of her sentence? As in, if she is obliged to undergo treatment, if her physician felt that she was not emotionally stable enough to go through an appeal process could he deny her the right to proceed?
I am kinda glad that it is not being shown here. I don't think I want to hear her voice. I don't see why she should have a voice now when she wasn't willing to get up on the stand and have what she wanted to say cross examined. All she wants to do now is dirty Jason's name. I have always said that I don't believe he was attacking her or any of the DV stories but even if I did it still wouldn't excuse the level of violence they used against him.

His rationale can't be argued with imo LL, he seems like a fair man. We always did say here her demeanor would be questioned in court. The blue dresses and minimalistic look didn't fool them.
I still feel a stomach churn when I think of her earlier statements in the custody hearings that she was not bi polar, wasn't depressed, was on no meds and then in a selfish effort to save herself a psychiatric report appears yesterday before sentencing.

She said: "She made everything difficult from the start, she didn't just murder them she caused a lot of hurt.
"After his death she even sent the bill for Jason's ambulance from the night he died to his parents."
Wayne added: "I remember when my sister Tracy, her husband David and a few friends went to North Carolina after Jason's death and Molly had his body moved to different funeral homes a few times.
"She wouldn't tell them where he was at first."

Ms Martens Corbett, sobbing, turned to her family in the public gallery and said: "I'm really sorry Mom - I wish he'd just killed me
I did not murder my husband. My father did not murder my husband. The incidents of August 2nd happened as they happened on a somewhat regular basis. The only difference is my father was there.
I will speak for Jack, Mr Martin said.
Sons statement
My fathers death has been life-changing for me, the letter read. My dad was always there for me, always cheering me on in sports, in school and everyday life... He wont be there for me if I marry or have kids. Hell miss everything. He wont see me grow from a child to a teenager. I can never go to movies or pass a pass [when playing rugby] without feeling bad because thats what me and my dad did. We are now seen as the family of the Irish man who was killed in his home by a murderer named Molly Martens, the letter continued.
One thing she is not and never will be is part of the Corbett family.
My dad will not be forgotten, the letter concluded. Molly Martens will also never be forgotten. She will be known as the woman who murdered her husband for no reason.
The prosecutor struggled to maintain control of his emotions as he read the statement.
He was similarly emotional when he addressed the judge prior to sentencing earlier.

That is really sick people the hiding of JC remains. Here you had the C in a strange land trying to find the remains of their brother not knowing if he was creamated or about to be. And at the same time trying to locate the C kids and I’m sure very very concerned for their welfare. I’m sure it was an awful time for them at the same time trying to come to terms with their brothers untimely death. Even the audacity of the M having his remains removed from the mortuary show a level of deviousness that’s beyond comprehension and these are the all American better class family. And none of the M family came to their aid and none of them shouted STOP. In Ireland funerals are sacred even families that have not interacted for generation attend each others funerals.
A psychological evaluation is ordered sometimes as part of a pre-sentencing report by the Judge when evaluating a sentence. I believe it can be aggravating or mitigating, just like the witnesses who spoke in Court. In this case it was volunteered by the defense so I'm inclined to believe it was favorable for her receiving counseling and/or medication while incarcerated. I mean she needs it. She's got some problems. But, I doubt the report can prevent her from an appeal, and I don't think it factored into the verdict. IMO
I thought it was an attempt by the defence to either get her a lighter sentence, or alternatively a stay in a luxury long term facility as opposed to a prison..
My skin is literally crawling reading posts here today. I want them gone forever-25 yrs now.. I dont want to hear from the creeps again..
She refused to take the stand.. then she took it prior to sentencing and used it to batter her dead victim further.
I would love to know what the jury thought when they witnessed her in action.. I had a feeling she would throw a wobbly at some point. I dont want to be entertaining her psychotic fantasies any longer. I dont want families hurt more, I dont want her macabre fantasies to be televised by gutter media any more.. <modsnip>
I really do consider this as a highly likely motivating factor and would love to know more about the extended TM and SM extended family. Is there ethnic/racial superiority driving this on. Who are the M and who are the E and what are their family backgrounds?Their behaviour towards Jason's family after the murder was truly grotesque. Sending a bill for the ambulance to his elderly parents over in Ireland, sending them adoption papers to sign, smearing their son as a wife beater and even accusing him of killing his first wife. And then their antics with the children which beggar belief altogether.
I wonder was there some kind of racial bias behind their actions? Its confusing because you wouldn't think someone who had married an Irish person and accepted two Irish children into their family would be bigoted towards the Irish but there does seem to be an element that they thought the C family would be a pack of illiterate hicks who could be walked all over. Well, they've got their comeuppance now and it serves them right.
She didn't plead insanity, but she does seem to have trouble taking responsibility for killing a man, even if it was self-defense. Seems like I heard that she said she tried to hit him with the brick and after that doesn't remember anything. Come on, nobody believes that. IMO.Are her problems so severe she did not know what she did was legally wrong for insanity pleadings. I do think her behavior shows a deviousness and manipulation to the getting of her own way and this is what she is playing at just like she had no psychiatric issues at the C custody hearing. Time Molly got used to her pink jumpsuit and the clanging of the metal bars.

Could be the report was submitted to place her on suicide watch. She did express a desire to be dead, even within the context she said it. I suspect It probably wasn't the first time she expressed such feelings. IMO
Speaking of luxury long term facilities, I've been wondering about TM being former FBI and possibly getting a pass to a federal facility, like the one that currently houses Allen Stanford and Bernie Madoff in Butner, NC?
I'm sincerely sorry if your comment is for me. I never pretend to be anything I'm not and I mean no disrespect. I just watched Good Morning America and they ran a preview of the show for tomorrow night. It shows pictures of the bedroom, the bat and the brick. At some point soon, it will be available online, I'm sure. This media blitz will calm down quickly In my opinion. I mean, everyone wants to know the whole story but nothing can be done about it until some decision is made on appeal, which I think will take at least 90 days. IMO
Speaking to EVOKE.ie previously Molly Martens lawyer David Freedman said Molly had been on antidepressants when she was very young but had not been on medications for years and years. That's such a shrewd observation! Doesn't that mean she lied under oath at the custody hearing??
