NC NC - Jenna Nielsen, 22, pregnant, Raleigh, 14 June 2007

What do you think of this??

http://justice4jenna.weebly.com/composite.html

Jess Green raped 2 women in Ocean Springs, MS 2 weeks after Jenna was murdered. This man was in North Carolina at the time of Jenna's murder!
He is known as " The baby-faced rapist".

Except for the descrepancy in the estimated height of the composite of Jenna's unknown killer, this looks like the same man to me.

I hope NC puts more resources into testing of any foreign physical evidence found at Jenna's crimescene and questioning this man more thoroughly. When Raleigh LE interviewed him in a MS jail cell about Jenna's death, he denied involvement in her murder (well, yeah-DUH). Therefore, Raleigh LE is saying he will probably be eliminated as a suspect.

The high rate of unsolved murders of pregnant women in the Raleigh/ Durham area is very upsetting, both this one, which is considered to be random, and the others featured here which may likely be spousal murders. Did Nifong totally screw up the CJ system there??? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

oh my...he does look like the composite:eek:

thanks for the info, jana

eta...i'm interested in why Jess Green was in NC, at the time of Jenna's death, but there's no info on that....hmmm

http://justice4jenna.weebly.com/composite.html

This serial rapist, Jess Green, was in North Carolina at the time of Jenna's murder, reason unknown. He was raping women 2 weeks later in Florida, and is now in jail. Of course, he denies any involvement in Jenna's murder.

I see a strong resemblance.. I think this is her killer. What do you think?

BUMPING UP FOR JENNA and her unborn baby. This case needs our attention very much!!!

Maria

The hairline, fullness of the face and most importantly, the height are off.....the height considerably so. But still, the resemblance IS striking. They should check DNA immediately....I'm assuming there is dna. He is a known rapist who was in the area and they'd be stupid to rule him out on the height alone.

Perhaps, the witness was concentrating on his face. The composite and suspect look the same. The suspect was also in NC at the time. I also believe that this is the murderer. Just my opinion, though.

Usually when a suspect is finally arrested and shown next to their sketch, I find myself wondering how the sketch can be so far off. This is the first time that I've ever seen a sketch that looks SOOOOO much like a person that's in custody. The resemblance is remarkable!

Raleigh, N.C. — Police investigators have interviewed more than 700 people and received more than 1,000 tips related to the death Jenna Nielsen, who stabbed to death a year ago behind a Raleigh convenience store.

But they are still seeking leads, police said Friday, and believe the case will be solved.

"(We) remain confident that the case can and will be cleared by the arrest of the responsible suspect or suspects,” spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

I don't think this case has ever gotten the exposure it deserves. Thank you for posting the short update!!! I think of Jenna every day. I think that if her case was featured more prominently, people might come up with more leads. After all, a lot is known from the autopsy, the photos of her with her husband and child tell a story....

I wish I could just put my arms around this young mom and love her back to life. She's about the age my daughter would be if she had lived, and looks a lot like I did at that age. I have such a strong pull to this case. I guess we all have one which haunts us more than the others do..

Thanks again for the update and for keeping Jenna's little thread alive.

This case was so hard to hear about, especially with her husband standing strong w/the media in the beginning. You could tell he was just lost without her and wanted to find answers. I hope she gets a little media attention at least with Saturday being the 1 yr anniversary. It's just awful that someone, a MURDERER, is still running around free.

In the police interview linked by Taximom,http://wral.com/news/local/story/3038560/
the following statement was made yesterday:

"I would characterize this case as very solvable," Raleigh police Maj. Rick Grayson said. "We're just missing a couple of pieces. We need the public's help."

This is the most positive statement they have made to date, although in the written article they say they have no suspects.
There are multiple injuries to her arms and legs which make me think that Jenna fought her attacker hard. The rape kit was negative. The supposition is that because her pants were down, a rape was attempted, and when she fought back, she was killed, probably from behind due to the angle of the neck stab wound, which is the fatal wound.

I think they may have unknown foreign DNA from the crimescene. It states in the autopsy report that her broken nails had blood under them, and there was a hair in Jenna's hand.

BTW, on the link above are the only crimescene video clips I have seen. One shows what I believe to be her Honda car. If anyone is good at screen captures, could you put the crimescene portions here if you think they would be of value? It almost looks like police are photographing in a restroom at the mini mart at one point.

Jenna's 2 children and her husband need our help to find a killer.

There are some good clues as to what happened to Jenna. The crimescene video shown on WRAL taken at the time the police processed the scene is very clear and may have some value to us..

Her autopsy is quite clearcut- She was hit in the head, causing a head injury, there are probable defensive wounds on her arms and legs, and finally, she died after her throat was slit from left to right, slightly upwards.

If you aren't familiar with Jenna's case, please look at it today, June 14, and help find her killer. She was a beautiful young mother of 2 with a loving husband who is NOT a suspect.

Respectfully,
Maria

Let's hope and pray for justice to be served in this case. I hope they can I.D. that DNA sometime soon.

Time to bump this case....
The number of crimes appear to be rising in the area. Just this past week another murder in Cary and a missing mom of 2 in Granville Co. Jenna's needs to remain in the light until her killer is found. Naturally the focus will be on the recent ones and the older they are will take a back seat.

After rereading the thread and seeing the LE visited Green in jail to interview him, because Green stated he had NO involvement with the murder the LE leaves and says, OK. What? How did they determine this? They located a knife, composite is very similiar, Green was here when the murder occured. Where's the DNA? Did they do it or is it his right to not have to submit to it? It would be interesting for the LE to answer these questions or did they and I missed them?

The number of crimes has risen. I am so thankful I don't live there anymore.

I do business there frequently, and always carry.

I really hope that LE compared this Green guy's DNA with the DNA found under Jenna's nails and that hair found in her hand. I went back and looked at the composite and I swear it is him. It looks just like him. Maybe he wasn't standing up straight when whoever saw him and stated his height. How could that composite look just like Green and it not be him? I've never seen such a likeness before in a drawing and a criminal. LE needed more then just a "I didn't do it." I wonder if maybe the DNA is still at a lab being compared? The labs seem to take so long and I think it was in June that LE talked to Green.

Raleigh, N.C. — Fifteen months after his wife was found slain behind a Raleigh convenience store, Tim Nielsen said he plans to take his two sons and move to Utah to escape painful memories of the loss of her and their unborn child.

Jenna Nielsen, 22, was found stabbed to death outside the AmeriKing Food Mart on Lake Wheeler Road on June 14, 2007. She was stocking USA Today vending machines at the convenience store when she was attacked, police said.

Despite national and local media attention in the weeks and months following Nielsen's death and her family's relentless effort to keep the case in the public eye, police have no suspects.

"I won't be in the state where my wife and son were murdered," Tim Nielsen said Wednesday, referring to Ethen, his unborn son who died when Jenna Nielsen was killed. "I lost pretty much everything since I moved out here."

Thanks Fran...
How ironic I posted on this case for the 1st time this week and this article comes along. I can understand how hard it is for the husband, but also just as hard for the grandparents to see their grandsons leave here also.
This is SO sad.

I have not followed this case, until this week and read up on it. I want to know who is dropping the ball on this one. A knife found, visit a prisoner who's profile is identical to the composite and the lying SOB says, NOPE not me. LE just gets up and walks out?

IMO the RPD on a scale of 0-10 is a -10. Believe me from personal experience that is a high rating for them.

Hi mom! :)

I saw that you'd posted here. This is such a sad case. I think it was RaisinCharlie who'd mentioned very early on, that he thought the perp was most likely already gone and they'd probably never solve this case. Looks like he was right.

I pray that this young man is able to pick up his life and move on and raise those little ones to be the fine young men he and his wife had hoped for.

:(
