She was reported missing by a close family friend, not our stepmother or mother. Janet W. divorced our father in 2000. Our mother doesn't have a Facebook account. I post about her daily, as well as other people. Today marks 149 days Jennifer, aka Jenny, has been missing. We begged for more resources and for the NCSBI to partner with BCSO months ago. As next of kin, we no longer receive phone calls from the BCSO, but a terse weekly email. I wish I could say they've given it their all, but we do not believe that. In our opinion, they've essentially made her a cold case. We've asked for the Charlotte division of the FBI to come in, but there's no substantial reason for them to get involved. U.S. Marshals would help if she were a juvenile, but she's not. No alerts have ever been made. BCSO stated no foul play was suspected in the first few weeks, but that hasn't been substantiated; quite the opposite. They told us they would update her missing posts to reflect this information, but haven't yet. Here are a few more. Detectives aren't confident about information given on what she was last wearing and went back to cameras on 6/26 for the gray tank dress as last known clothing. The green backpack and possible black handbag listed cannot be proven either; we know she had a light colored large pocket-wallet with her from cameras on 6/26. We don't know if she walked off, was picked up, or taken off of VOA Rd. Several sightings were reported of a woman on Hwy 17 in Chocowinity, but they are of a different woman - this has been verified multiple times. Jenny has no tattoos, one single set of piercings in her ears, and a large birthmark on her right shoulder.

Between June 24–26, she was seen spending time with female acquaintance. On June 26, they were out fishing. Security footage in the area confirms her being in that area that day. That night, a message was sent from the other woman’s phone saying she had lost her own phone in Aurora. Those close to her doubt it was really her sending it.
Early the next morning, around 5:50 AM on June 27, they were seen leaving a property on VOA Road, traveling several miles before pulling into another driveway near the VOA/Cherry Run intersection. By 8:45 AM, the driver was found unresponsive, the passenger side door open — and she was gone.
I'm very confused by this part...

Especially where it says "the driver was found unresponsive, the passenger side door open — and she was gone."

Who was the driver? The woman she went fishing with? Why was she unresponsive? Was she revived by paramedics?? Taken to hospital?

Was this in a driveway to a home? Did they know anyone who lived there?

The driver is the same woman Jennifer went fishing with and the owner of the car; I cannot share who "she" is. "She" was found unresponsive by the property owner of a business; "she" and my sister knew the property owner. When he walked up on the car, the passenger door was wide open, my sister was gone, and the driver had to be shaken to wake. "She" did not go for medical attention that day but checked into a local hospital the next day with a "spider bite."

Jennifer Watkins has been missing for 150 days now. Tips given on day 29 have still not been followed up on; I asked weekly, until BCSO stopped taking our calls. Someone shared her arrest history, yet neglected the times she's been to court over DVPO violations. Long history of an off-and-on abusive relationship for the past 11 years; several occurrences happened in the 2 weeks before 6/27.

The abuser was arrested on 6/24/25, bailed out early afternoon of 6/26/25, and she was last seen less than 24 hours on the morning of 6/27/25. The last person to see Jennifer is a close relative of her abuser, the "she" Jennifer was with and driver of the car she supposedly disappeared from. Although the abuser claims to love her, there are no pictures of Jennifer on his Facebook page, he has never posted about her going missing, and he is the father of her youngest child.

The abuser has been in custody since mid-August for violating another woman's DVPO multiple times.
