I had a thought today. Now I do not know (or remember) if any articles about her case describe or name her friend she was going to visit or not. But what if this was actually an adult who lived nearby and not a child?

The case of Cindy Allinger comes to mind. She was killed by a 30 year old neighbor in 1996. He would let her play his drums and play with his dog. She had been over to his house on several occasions according to her sister. Her Mom originally thought this was a child when she said she was going to his house to play and when she discovered he was an adult she forbided her from going over there again.

I believe she was going to play with two other boys in the trailer park she lived in but never made it there. The dads suspicions/statements are wild. Curious if she grew up with another family member or friend. However if this was the case I would imagine she was old enough to remember her mother and would have come forward by now.

Poor baby... how can they make believe that a 7-year-old girl would go out alone to a neighbor? It's good that the police didn't believe that... but her father was to blame for her death, although it could also be that he gave her away... he is a beast, a scum, a human garbage...

We share the same birthday but I'm 6 years older. I have lived in the Fayetteville area (20-30 mins from Spring Lake) for the last 20 years. Fayetteville has a high crime rate today, and I don't believe Spring Lake is much better. From conversations over the years with people who grew up here in Cumberland County, it's always had a high rate of crime. I'm glad there is recent activity on this thread even though there doesn't seem to be any movement on this case.
