There has been an updated flyer as well as a still shot from an atm security camera of Joseph on the 13th. He is wearing the blue shirt they believe he had on the day he was last seen.

The latest post (Jan 25) on the Find Joseph Barrette fb page states they are leaving for Virginia on March 9 (which just happens to be tomorrow) where Joseph crashed his vehicle. A search will be conducted in the area of the crashed vehicle and surrounding woods on March 10-11.
It also states they are working with a local detective and hope to gather local volunteers to help in picking up where the initial search left off (1.5 mile radius around crashed vehicle).

My name is Tammy and I am Joe’s sister. We did go and look for him in March but we found nothing in the search. We have heard nothing since and have no new leads. He has a 17-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter. They are currently living with their mom in Virginia. Praying that our family can have answers someday.

Circumstances of Disappearance
He was last known to be at his residence in Tyro, North Carolina approximately 5:30 PM.

It is known that he was in Montgomery County at the Uwharrie National Forest in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 13, 2019. His car with all of his belongings, besides his gun, was found by police on the side of the road early Sunday morning July 14.

It's thought he was in Spencer, VA after this incident.

Another man missing after a car crash?

One thing that is probably nothing, but really stood out to me - he had $453 in his wallet but the card was used for a fountain soda at McDonald's.... Which cost roughly $1 +tax...

That's a lot of cash to be carrying around.

Yes, he was found. I encountered the VA State Police search team a few weeks ago. They were searching for several bodies dumped in this area. I ask about JB, they reconfirmed he was found in a heavily wooded area, down an embankment. No public announcement,no link I can find, except the FB page.

I'm glad the family has closure.
