Katherine “Katie” Alice Moody, 18, was last seen leaving her parents’ Kannapolis, N.C. home in her automobile on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at approximately 9:00 a.m. en route to visit a male acquaintance. The acquaintance stated that Katie visited and left his residence. Her mother reported her missing to the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office when she didn’t return home. Her body was later discovered approximately 1/2 mile off N.C. Highway 73, on Shiloh Church Road in Davidson, N.C., on Sunday, October 19, 2003. Her case remains an unsolved homicide. Anyone with information regarding this homicide is asked to contact the Cold Case Investigation Unit of the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office in Concord, N.C. at 704-920-3000.

Would love to know if there has been any activity in this case. I live near Hwy 73/Shiloh Church Rd and pass it regularly. I haven't been able to find much of anything relating to the case.
