Did Dina act alone or have assistance?

I'll agree that not checking on her sister until 11:30 is the big oddity. Especially if she required medication.(ETA: I'd have been paranoid that she'd have a reaction to medication, complications, etc. and would have probably slept on the couch in the livingroom just to be within ear shot. Irrelevant, I know.)

I'd wondered whether Kathy had multiple surgeries and whether Dina had been asked to stay with her after each one. And how often that was.

JMO, but if Dina murdered her -- I'd say their relationship was more than "strained."

Little doubt Dina committed the crime. Relationship between the two was a bit strained.

I also have heard the two "did not get along".
Is your knowledge 1st hand, or is it passed around like much of the info I have been exposed to?

After looking at the 2 houses on Google Earth, I'm pretty sure the income needed is more than the average of the area.

Well, thanks to public records sites, we learn something new all the time.
Turns out 304 Main Street is a duplex...unit A and B.
Guess who owns unit B? You guessed it, Kathy Taft.
Unit A is owned by Charles H H. and wife Dina.
They are very small, 1020' units valued around $100,000.

Thanks for the links. I don't mean to be argumentative, but I think the listed property is a single family home & the Holton residence appears to be a duplex. There is a driveway on both sides & a boat parked on each side. Also the adjoining property appears to be a duplicate building. The paved area ties it all together.... Anyway my point is, the vaulue of the Horton residence is probably at least half of that across the street.

Does anyone know if this is D Horton's primary address or just their beach house?

So now we know Kathy and Dina must have been close at some point in the recent past if Kathy owned her vacation condo beside her sister's permanent residence:waitasec:.

Dina bought her unit in 2003 for $92,500
Kathy bought her unit 2/9/2009....only a year ago....for $101,500

The drive from Greenville to Oriental is only 1 hour

Absolutely, especially at this early stage the cops will 'play games', knowing all along who their primary suspect is. They toyed with Jason young for 3 years before they finally cuffed him for murder.

Tell us more about Dina, if you know...

Is she attractive like big sis?
What is their socio/economic status in Oriental?
It has been said (rumor) she suffers from mental illness and possibly a drinking problem....are either true?

When the D is finally revealed (I kinda thought the guilt would so consume her that she would've turned herself in by now). But then again, she was the one who thought she was above everyone else.

I think that most people who frequent the Glenwood Grill on Friday nights probably didn't go last night after they heard about the police information stop. I wouldn't risk having wine with my dinner and then being stopped by police to hand me a flyer. Why give them a reason to suspect me of DWI? I would probably not go there or take a different route home to avoid the stop.

Another poster mentioned being irritable after having a surgical procedure. I felt that way too after 2 unrelated out-patient procedures. I guess it's the medications or the anesthesa. Both times I felt very irritated and was quite short with 2 friends who called me. The next day I felt bad that I had been so rude to them on the phone, but I really just wanted to be left alone. Thank goodness the people who were staying with me were very patient, quiet and comforting. They could tell that is what I needed.

If the relationship with Dina and Kathy was strained, I wonder why Kathy bought the place next to Dina.

Or was it strained from Dina's side only? Was Kathy constantly trying to bring them closer?

I'm trying to understand why Dina even agreed to play nursemaid after Kathy's surgery if the relationship was strained and there was so much resentment there.

Also, I wonder how Dina felt about Kathy purchasing the other half of the duplex -- moving in on the one sanctuary where Dina didn't have to hear Kathy, Kathy, Kathy all the time.

I think it will come out that D planned it & her car was intentionally left at the shopping center so it would not be seen in the driveway. What she didn't plan on was the doctor being able to tell that it was assault & not complications from the surgery. D made it clear on the 911 call that KT was having complications due to the surgery......planting the seed.

I'm not sure I understand your point that she deliberately left her car at the shopping center so it would not be seen in the driveway.

She was staying at the house -- why would she not want her car seen in the driveway?

LOL @ D thinking a surgeon could not tell the difference between skull fractures and complications from neck lift surgery.

Does this then negate the rumor (calling it rumor only because I don't have a link to mainstream media indicating she said this) that she heard something, got up, listened in on Kathy and heard her snoring? Is that not true?

The TYPE of injury a blow to the head would render would be nothing like a surgeon's incision ... surely D has the mental capacity to consider that? Or is she suffering mentally that way too -- mentally challenged.

Whatever story D is telling is only to cover herself. That's why she hasn't been arrested.....police letting her sink herself with the different things she's telling so they can prove what she's saying didn't happen. No question D wasn't thinking clearly......
