Family or those close are always suspects until eliminated.
I am sure the cops saw some odd behavior with D, as we did.
Initially, they could have easily suspected a 'staged' sexual assault.
Apparently, when the vaginal DNA came back 2 weeks later, the focus was on a male rapist / killer.

If the newest theories are correct, then possibly someone who fit into the neighborhood could have slipped into the house. The house may have been left open by D when she went to the store, someone watching would see that she had left and took advantage of the opportunity. There would be no reason to destroy KT unless it was felt the person could be identified. Anyone else? And while we are going around in circles, we can again go back to the possibility that KY had consensual relations with someone prior to her surgery....i too am interested in all that we DON't know, which is most of the case.

Scary for sure. The cops obviously have gone down the path of the random dude with the cap on backwards at the Harris Teeter to the local neighborhood men that could have spotted KT and it was a sudden opportunity. Either way, there is a man walking the streets of Raleigh that needs to be caught, and caught fast.

JTF.....Do you know if D stayed Friday night w/K? Do u think the blow to K's head was done in such a way that it wouldn't be easily discovered cuz of bandages? All just coincidence?

Perhaps we will find out D had other plans after Kathy bedded down?
Maybe her late return was why she finally checked on her at 11:40am?
Was she bar hopping in the capital city?

The hit was apparently so hard and vicious, I think that elastic support bandage on her head was just a little something that masked the otherwise obvious.

I had wondered if DH was even at the house that night or whether she returned in the morning ... but a later report said she heard something, listened in on KT and heard snoring ...

IF Kathy was sexually assaulted, it does not rule out DH as being involved in setting it up ...

I won't be online until mid-morning but hope that the 911 calls/SWs are released so that I have some direction to go with a theory ... besides in circles.

This theory (that she could have had consensual sexual relations before her surgery) also could lead us to believe that the attack, which disabled her, could have been done by someone who came into her room after the surgery, brutally attacked her without a sexual motive, and did not leave male DNA at the scene.

If we can trust this report as accurate, there must have been evidence of sexual assault, not consensual sex.

Evidence that KT had sex in that bed ... very doubtful it would have been consensual ... based on the descriptions some here have provided about recovering from plastic surgery, sex would have been the last thing on KT's mind ... plus ... in JG's master bedroom? No way.

Among those documents is a search warrant for the car of Dina Arnold Holton, Taft's sister. Police took a handwritten note and some fingerprints and swabs of DNA from the car, the document says.

Holton, who was present at the time of the search, told police she left her car at a Harris Teeter a block away from where the sisters were staying. Holton told police she locked her keys in the 2002 Dodge Durango.

Okay, I'm still quite confused. There were two receipts from Harris Teeter in the house? KT had a receipt for a hotel bill in her car? Had she just left a hotel? Why did she have a cutting board and knife in her car?

This is still not making any sense. I wonder when the documents and tape will become available today.
